Brit Man LYNCHED And BURNT Alive in Ecuador as Baying Mob Storm Police Station
WARNING - GRAPHIC CONTENT A British man was dragged from a police station and burned alive in the Amazon rainforest in Ecuador hours after he was arrested by local police on suspicion of murder MailOnline 22 APR 2025 ![]() ![]() A baying mob is said to have lynched a British man accused of murder in Ecuador before burning him alive in the Amazon rainforest in a dark attempt at seeking justice. ![]() The British man, pictured while in police custody, is said to have been burned alive The unnamed man was held by members of the local community on suspicion of shooting a man dead. However, around six hours after he was placed under arrest a large group of people stormed the police station before he was due to be moved, dragging him into the Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve in Ecuadors Amazon region. Local reports say he was horrifically lynched by the mob before being set alight and later died of his horror injuries. A local TV station, reporting on the two deaths, said: In the early hours of Sunday, April 20, in the parish of Playas de Cuyabeno, at the closure of an event that took place for the anniversary of the Kichwa community, an incident occurred where as a result two people died. Those two people were a community member from the area and another person of British nationality who died due to the severity of his burns. Ecuadorian newspaper Extra reported police officers who arrested him had decided not to intervene when the baying mob forced their way into the local station out of fear of being attacked themselves by the group. After the attack police reinforcements took a lot of time to reach the area he was in because of its remoteness and difficult access. ![]() The 'victim of the alleged' shooting is taken from the scene |
