Two Prisoners Escape UK Prison and Go On Run as Police Warn Do NOT Approach Them'

Joshua Lewis Terry, 29, and Levi Mitchell, 39, had previously been reported missing and are now believed to have fled from Hollesley Bay Prison UK, a category D open prison, together.

Police first received a report the duo had vanished just before 7pm yesterday evening. Terry is previously from the Norfolk area and Mitchell is previously from the Hertfordshire area.

Terry, who was described as being 6'2, with ginger hair and blue eyes, was serving two years and fourth months for affray, threatening a person with a blade/sharply pointed article in a public place, and theft. He is of thin build and has a tattoo on his lower arm of a star.

Mitchell is currently service a sentence for multiple burglary offences. Police described him as "being 5ft 10inches tall with ginger hair and blue eyes. He is of a slight build with goatee. He also has a birthmark on his left arm and hand."

However, police warned they should not be approached by the public. They said: "Enquiries are ongoing to locate the pair and anyone who knows of their whereabouts or has seen them should not approach them but should contact Suffolk Police"

Hollesley Bay prison is a prison and Young Offender Institution and located in the village of Hollesley, around eight miles from Woodbridge. Being a category D prison, it only houses low-risk inmates who are allowed to come and go for specific purposes, for example a job, meaning any potential risk to the public has been assessed.

In a full statement, they said: "Police are appealing for help to locate two absconders from Hollesley Bay prison who are believed to have absconded together. Police received a report just before 7pm this evening (Saturday 21 October) that Joshua Lewis Terry, 29, previously from the Norfolk area, and Levi Mitchell, 39, previously from the Hertfordshire area, had been reported missing.

"Joshua Lewis Terry is described as being 6ft 2inches tall with ginger hair and blue eyes. He is of a thin build with stubble facial hair. He also has a tattoo on his lower arm of a star. He is serving a two year and four-month sentence for affray, threatening a person with a blade / sharply pointed article in a public place and theft.

"Levi Mitchell is described as being 5ft 10inches tall with ginger hair and blue eyes. He is of a slight build with goatee. He also has a birthmark on his left arm and hand. He is currently serving a sentence for multiple burglary offences."
