The Duke of York has reached a confidential settlement with a Turkish millionairess after accepting huge sums of her money from an alleged fraudster

Prince Andrew, 63, his ex-wife the Duchess of York, 64, and their daughters, received a series of payments totalling some £1.4 million from Selman Turk, a former Goldman Sachs banker accused of stealing £40 million from Nebahat Evyap Isbilen.

The Yorks were dragged into a complex legal case after Mrs Isbilen, 77, sued Mr Turk and various offshore companies over the missing money and issued contempt proceedings over an alleged breach of a court order.

The High Court court heard on Tuesday that the Duke and Duchess, who still live together, had reached a settlement with Mrs Isbilen.

Although the terms were not disclosed, any financial transfer is likely to have been considered repayment for the large amount of cash that had found its way into their bank accounts.

Most of the money was paid via a UK-based company called Alphabet Capital.

Mr Turk, 37, argued that an agreed statement of fact, signed by the Yorks and Mrs Isbilen, which included references to the various payments but was not read out in court, was “plainly self-serving” and “presumably prepared as a quid pro quo” for settling Mrs Isbilen’s claim against the Yorks and others.

James Counsell KC, representing Mr Turk in the contempt case, said his client had not been privy to the negotiations leading to the settlement.

“He has no independent knowledge of the statement,” he said. “He has been given no opportunity to cross-examine the parties to the settlement.”

A well placed source said Sarah and Prince Andrew have always maintained they distanced themselves from Epstein after his conviction for child prostitution. In fact, it was Epstein who ended up dumping them. He got sick and tired of Sarah constantly asking him for money.

She borrowed far more money off him than has ever come out. In public she said one thing but in private she was always holding out the begging bowl.

Andrew will no longer be known as a prince and is to leave Royal Lodge, Buckingham Palace has confirmed.

In a bombshell statement released tonight, Buckingham Palace said he will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor with immediate effect

It comes as the palace said the censures are deemed necessary amid the ongoing Jeffrey Epstein scandal, who Andrew lied about cutting ties with.

His Majesty has today initiated a formal process to remove the Style, Titles and Honours of Prince Andrew, the palace said.

Prince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor. His lease on Royal Lodge has, to date, provided him with legal protection to continue in residence.

Formal notice has now been served to surrender the lease and he will move to alternative private accommodation

These censures are deemed necessary, notwithstanding the fact that he continues to deny the allegations against him.

His Majesty wishes to make clear that his thoughts and utmost sympathies have been, and will remain with, the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse.

However, she took a major hit when selling the home this summer, for GB400,000 under the price she paid for it, according to Land Registry documents, the Daily Mail reports.

Her spokesperson said that Sarah wasnt looking to sell it, but this year she was asked by the tenant to buy it, and it seemed like a good time to sell.

Its an investment property for her girls, and so the monies will be reinvested accordingly, the spokesperson continued.

You have to ask yourself whether Andrew and Sarah are completely deaf to public opinion. There is genuine outrage from the public and, indeed several prominent members of Parliament about the fact that they have lied about their friendship with Jeffrey Epstein.

And yet they seem to think they are entitled to not just one, but two, magnificent homes in the extremely royal surroundings of Windsor Great Park, almost in the shadow of the Castle itself

It is an audacious demand and one that the Palace has outright rejected

The disgraced royal headed a list of more than 30 people who appear in the files, which include Naomi Campbell, Adele and Mick Jagger. The most frequently mentioned of all Brits is the former prince, whose name appears a staggering 173 times in total.

The sprawling database, published as part of the House Oversight Committees ongoing release program, spans emails, logs, letters, subpoenas, travel slips, legal notes, and interview summaries dating back decades.

Whilst a names appearance does not imply any wrongdoing, the sheer scale of British entries has sparked interest through Westminster, the monarchy and the celebrity world.

Mountbatten Windsors prominence dwarfs every other UK figure and underscores how deeply his downfall became entwined with the Epstein scandal.

Andrew has consistently denied any wrongdoing in relation to the accusations against him.

She is mentioned again by Prince Andrew sex accuser, Virginia Giuffre, who said Campbell flew on Epsteins private jet.

Many of the other British celebrities, like Adele, are mentioned in emails to Epstein by Peggy Siegal, a prominent American entertainment publicist. Reform UK leader Nigel Farage features in emails between the sex offender and Donald Trumps former advisor, STEVE BANNON

For investigators and lawmakers scouring the archive, Andrew is not a footnote but a dominant presence.

The House Oversight Committee received the trove after the Epstein estate formally transferred the archive, following years of motions, subpoenas and legal manoeuvring. The documents in which the Brits are named are separate from the vast cache held by the US Government, which the House voted last night to force the Department of Justice to release.
