Ukraine Frontline: Exhaustion of War in Battle-Weary Towns
Shock, Anger and WAR Fatigue: Ukraines’ Two Years of Agony as US Continues its Petty Political Arguments on Further Help.. ![]() BUT Canada Steps In By Giving Ukraine Over 800 Drones Worth $95 Million... ![]() ![]() ![]() Stalled US Aid For Ukraine Underscores GOPs' Shift Away From Confronting Russia Republicans have been softening their stance on Russia ever since Trump won the 2016 presidential election following Russian hacking of his Democratic opponents BBC News 20 FEB 2024 ![]() No one town can capture the mood of this huge, struggling nation, after almost two years of war. ![]() Ukraine war: A front-line town torn between determination and despair..A statue in the Park of Eternal Glory in Kyiv. ![]() Artillery unit commander Titushko. As the anniversary of Putin’s invasion nears, the fall of Avdiivka has given Russia its first gain in months. In Kyiv, cracks in morale are showing. What happens now? Close to the frontline in Ukraine’s Donetsk region, a bumpy road passes through half-abandoned hamlets. It morphs into a muddy track, snakes through fields, and eventually leads to an army base hidden in a forest. There, as a kettle boiled on a gas heater, a weary 39-year-old soldier, who wished to be known only by his callsign, Titushko, spoke about the problems of fighting the Russians amid a serious ammunition shortage, as the sound of fire from nearby positions echoed around the base. In November, Titushko’s men, part of an artillery division in Ukraine’s First Tank Brigade, received a supply of about 300 shells every 10 days, but they now have a firing limit of just 10 a day. “Back then, we could keep them on their toes, fire all the time, aim every time we saw a target. Now we fire exclusively for defence,” he said. The ammunition reserves at the base are thin, and partly made up of Iranian shells – part of a shipment seized in the Gulf apparently en route to Houthi rebels in Yemen. They are “extremely problematic and don’t work well,” another soldier at the base said. Along the frontline, Ukraine is on the defensive, short of ammunition and soldiers. On Saturday, Ukraine’s military command announced it was withdrawing from Avdiivka, further east in Donetsk region, handing Russia its first major territorial gain since May last year. Ukrainian officials have described the loss as a direct consequence of the shortage of ammunition from the west. ![]() Ammunition at a forest base west of Avdiivka. The grim news, as the second anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion approaches, is another sign that the third year of the war could be the hardest yet for Ukraine. The mood is very different from that of a year ago, when amid the horror Ukrainians remained buoyed up by the extraordinary consolidation of national society, and looked forward to the swift liberation of all territories occupied by Russia. In Kyiv, the cultural historian Natalia Kryvda attributed the remarkable coming-together in the first year of the war to Ukraine’s past as a nation that lacked the infrastructure of a state. “Because we have this long history of a stateless nation, we organised these horizontal links to start the defence. People took responsibility, they didn’t wait for orders,” she said. ![]() Natalia Kryvda in the Saint Sophia Cathedral in Kyiv. Those first months saw almost all segments of society unite, said Kryvda, creating a powerful new Ukrainian identity and a pride in being Ukrainian after years of denigration of the concept from Russia. “It was something very beautiful, but I’m worried that this unity is starting to crack now,” she said. On Saturday, President Volodymyr Zelenskiy reminded the Munich security conference of just how much Ukrainian society had achieved over the past two years: “Ukrainians have been holding [out] for 724 days – 724 days, would you have believed 725 days ago that this was even possible?” But with casualties mounting, army ranks and artillery supplies depleted and US financial aid stalled – and with the potentially devastating prospect of a Donald Trump presidency on the horizon – Ukrainians greet the second anniversary with trepidation about what the future might hold, as well as with increasingly visible divisions in society. Stalled US Aid For Ukraine At about 2 a.m. last Tuesday, Republican Sen. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin stood on the Senate floor and explained why he opposed sending more aid to help Ukraine fend off the invasion launched in 2022 by Russian President Vladimir Putin. “I don't like this reality," Johnson said. “Vladimir Putin is an evil war criminal.” But he quickly added: “Vladimir Putin will not lose this war.” That argument — that the Russian president cannot be stopped so there's no point in using American taxpayer dollars against him — marks a new stage in the Republican Party's growing acceptance of Russian expansionism in the age of Donald Trump. The GOP has been softening its stance on Russia ever since Trump won the 2016 election following Russian hacking of his Democratic opponents. There are several reasons for the shift. Among them, Putin is holding himself out as an international champion of conservative Christian values and the GOP is growing increasingly skeptical of overseas entanglements. Then there's Trumps' personal embrace of the Russian leader. Now the GOPs' ambivalence on Russia has stalled additional aid to Ukraine at a pivotal time in the war. The Senate last week passed a foreign aid package that included $61 billion for Ukraine on a 70-29 vote, but Johnson was one of a majority of the Republicans to vote against the bill after their late-night stand to block it. ![]() In the Republican-controlled House, SNIDEY Speaker Mike Johnson said his chamber will not be “rushed” to pass the measure, even as Ukraines' military warns of dire shortages of ammunition and artillery. Putin Taunts The West by Taking a Flight in Russias' Tu-160M Strategic Nuclear Bomber as Kremlin Threatens Nuclear War
HUNGRY FOR MORE Fears Putin Days Away From Annexing ANOTHER Part of Europe in Fresh Hitler-Style Landgrab to Mark Ukraine Anniversary Aside from 2,000 troops, Russia is feared to have thousands of paramilitaries waiting to strike inside Moldova MailOnline 23 FEB 2024 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() VLADIMIR Putin could be on the brink of attempting another Hitler-style landgrab in Europe - the annexation of a Moldovan territory. Fears are growing that the warmongering tyrant, 71, will attempt to strike at the West by announcing warped plans for the former Soviet republic that neighbours Ukraine next week. Putin may announce an annexation of the pro-Moscow breakaway region of Transnistria following the second anniversary of his war against Ukraine Russian so-called 'peacekeepers' take part in a parade to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Transnistria's illegal independence There are reports that the pro-Russian breakaway region of Transnistria - which illegally declared its independence from Moldova in 1990 - is plotting to appeal to Putin to join Russia. The landlocked strip along the Dniester River is wedged between both Moldova and Ukraine, which will pass its second anniversary in the grips of a grinding war with Russia this weekend. Putin already has a so-called "peacekeeping" force of up to 2,000 troops in the region, which has a population of about 470,000 that Moscow says overwhelmingly wishes to be incorporated into Russia. He is also believed to have thousands of paramilitaries on the ground, ready to take arms when the call comes. Putin is set to make a major speech at the Russian Federal Assembly on February 29 - sparking fears he will use it to green light plans for an annexation. The day before, a “congress” of local politicians has been called in Transnistria amid speculation they will issue a formal appeal to join Russia. The last such congress led to such a demand. Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov has insisted Moscow will "not leave its citizens living in Transnistria in trouble”. US Targets Russia With More Than 500 Sanctions Putin Taunts The West by Taking a Flight in Russias' Tu-160M Strategic Nuclear Bomber ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The despots' stunt - which lasted around 40 minutes - appeared to be intended to enhance his macho ratings as he stands for re-election next month, and distract attention from the 'murder' of opposition leader Alexei Navalny in an Arctic jail. But by flying in a type of warplane that has been used to wreak havoc in Ukraine with conventional weapons, he was sending a message that he intends to keep fighting in Ukraine, which he invaded almost two years ago. And the huge Tu-160M - aka White Swan - is a key part of his nuclear strike force at a time when the Kremlin is bluntly warning the West over the risk of nuclear war. Putin was seen taking off in Kazan a day after he visited a factory in the city where the Tupolev bombers are manufactured. He clambered up a ladder at the factory to go inside the plane and spent ten minutes in the ****pit. He then made the decision to fly himself in one of his bombers - his first flight since he took to the sky in a Tu-160 in 2005. The giant swing-wing plane is a substantially modernised-version of a Soviet-era bomber that the USSR would have deployed in the event of a nuclear war with the West to deliver nuclear weapons at long distances. The TU-160M is capable of carrying 12 cruise missiles or 12 short-range nuclear missiles and can fly 7,500 miles non-stop without re-fuelling. The electioneering stunt came less than a week after a man who wanted to oust him as president - Navalny - was 'murdered' inside his bleak Arctic jail. Even though the March election is expected to be rigged in Putin's favour, he is currently more visible on state TV than he has been for years. A breathless report on Putin-controlled Russian state TV said: 'We just saw that the president [Vladimir Putin] again, for the second time in two days, climbed into the ****pit of a Tu-160 strategic bomber.' On the tarmac, his spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Putin had 'made a decision to take a flight. There will be a flight [with Putin] now.' Putin later emerged from the Tu-160M to hail the improved aircraft - the model in which he had flown - as suitable for the Russian air force. 'The technology is excellent. It can be accepted into the Armed Forces,' he said. Ukraine military spy chief vows revenge on Russia over wife's poisoning | Defence in Depth special ![]() ![]() |

Putin BIGGEST Threat to Global Peace Since Hitler

US -Bidens' Aid STILL Continuously BLOCKED by Republican Snides Republican J.D. Vances' SPITEFUL Position on Ukraine is a DANGER to The WORLD MailOnline 28 FEB 2024 ![]() Putin BIGGEST Threat to Global Peace... ![]() Navalnys' body is finally handed over nine days after his death ![]() Vladimir Putin could kill again on the streets of Britain, the defence secretary has warned, following the death of Russian dissident Alexei Navalny. ![]() Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny died in prison earlier this month. His widow and supporters maintain he was killed by the Russian state Mr Navalny, leader of the Russia of the Future opposition party, died on February 16 in a Russian prison in the Arctic Circle after being jailed on what his allies said were trumped up charges of extremism created by the Kremlin to silence him. Now Grant Shapps has warned that Putin, who he says already has blood on his hands for the Salisbury poisonings targeting Sergei and Yulia Skripal, could strike again on UK soil, saying: 'We've seen what Putin is capable of.' Russian authorities say he died of natural causes, but his widow Yulia Navalnaya believes he was poisoned with the deadly nerve agent Novichok - the same one used to target double agent Sergei Skripal in Salisbury in 2018. The defence secretary compared the Russian premier - who has been been president or prime minister since 1999 - to Adolf Hitler, and warned that he presented the greatest threat to global peace since the Nazi dictator. 'Putin has Navalny's blood on his hands. Navalny should never have been in prison. His crime was standing up to an autocratic and now dictatorial Putin, who has a long history of bumping off his opponents. 'The world must not waver or bend to that kind of squalid leadership. We know what happens when you do — you end up with the mess of the last century.' Mr Shapps added: 'Look what happened in Salisbury. We've seen what Putin is capable of. We are always tracking and trying to prevent those things. But do I think he has intent? You have seen that. So, yes.' Bill Browder, a political activist and friend of Navalny's believed to be high on Putin's 'kill list', has claimed in recent days the Russian president will not hesitate to kill again on British soil after the dissident's death. Navalny's body was handed over to his mother today after a nine day wait. Mr Browder told the Mirror earlier this week that Putin had 'lost all restraint' after the 'game changer' of killing Navalny. He said: 'The fact he would kill the most popular and prominent opposition politician in plain sight without fear of repercussion says that people who are opposing Putin in Russia and abroad are in much more serious risk of assassination. 'The killing of Alexei Navalny has shown Putin has lost all restraint and that he will embark on a major *international killing spree which will include against all his enemies in the UK.' Vladmir Putin Trying to DESTABILISE Europe by Flooding The West With Migrants
Putin Plans to Flood West With Migrants .. Russia Using Militias in Africa to Weaponise Flows of People in Attempts to Influence Elections Vladimir Putin Threatens to NUKE The West and Accuses NATO of Preparing to Strike Russia MailOnline 1 MAR 2024 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Putin planning to use private militias to 'weaponise' flow of migrants Russia is trying to destabilise Europe and influence its elections by moving migrants into the continent using private armies, it is claimed. Vladimir Putin has attempted '15,000-man strong border police force' made up of former Libyan militias to 'weaponise' the flow of migrants from Africa, according to reports. The Kremlin has already been accused of trying to create a refugee crisis by sending asylum seekers to its border with Finland, forcing the new NATO member to close its doors to migrants in a bid to stem the tide. There are fears that the country could renew its efforts this spring, with the EU's border police force saying Russia is using migration 'as a lever in a larger game of influence and pressure'. Using private mercenaries, including the notorious Wagner group, it is believed Russia will fuel violence in places such as Burkina Faso, Mali, Sudan, Central African Republic and Libya to drive migrants towards Europe. ![]() ![]() Last year Finland was forced to close its doors to asylum seekers at four crossings after arguing that Putin was deliberately sending them across the border in retaliation for it joining NATO. Prime Minister Petteri Orpo (pictured) said it was 'clear that these people are helped and they are also being escorted or transported to the border by border guards', although Russia dismissed the claims. ![]() Dr Sergey Sukhankin, a senior fellow at The Jamestown Foundation and an adviser at Gulf State Analytics in Washington, told the Telegraph: 'The various waves of illegal migrants from Africa might increase, because Russia is planning to create a new military facility in the Central African Republic.' Central African Republic is a key part of some of the most-used migrant routes, with asylum seekers from places such as the Democratic Republic of the Congo moving through on their way north to Sudan and Libya.

Senior Russian Officer Warns Ukraine Conflict Could Escalate Into Full-Scale WAR in Europe
Russia Strikes Odesa During Zelensky and Greek PM Visit Putins' missiles come within yards of killing NATO leader and sparking WW3: Deadly strike hits Odesa as Zelensky meets Greek PM who reveals 'explosions were near us... we did not have time to shelter' MailOnline 7 MAR 2024 ![]() The port city was attacked ahead of Zelenskys' meeting with Kyriakos Mitsotakis. A source said it was 'the closest call ever', coming within yards of the mission MOSCOW, March 7 (Reuters) - A senior Russian military officer has warned that the conflict in Ukraine could escalate into a full-scale war in Europe and said the probability of Moscow's forces becoming involved in a new conflict is increasing "significantly." Colonel-General Vladimir Zarudnitsky, head of the Russian army's Military Academy of the General Staff, made the comments in an article for "Military Thought", a defence ministry publication, the state RIA news agency reported on Thursday. "The possibility of an escalation of the conflict in Ukraine - from the expansion of participants in 'proxy forces' used for military confrontation with Russia to a large-scale war in Europe - cannot be ruled out," RIA cited him a saying. "The main source of military threats to our state is the anti-Russian policy of the United States and its allies, who are conducting a new type of hybrid warfare in order to weaken Russia in every possible way, limit its sovereignty and destroy its territorial integrity," he was quoted as saying. "The likelihood of our state being purposefully drawn into new military conflicts is significantly increasing." The war in Ukraine has triggered the deepest crisis in Russia's relations with the West since the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis and President Vladimir Putin has warned that the West risks provoking a nuclear war if it sends troops to fight in Ukraine. Putin has cast his decision to send tens of thousands of troops into Ukraine in February 2022 as a special military operation designed to secure Russia's own security against an increasingly hostile U.S.-backed Ukrainian leadership. Kyiv says it is defending itself against an imperial-style war of conquest designed to erase its national identity. Zarudnitsky's comments come at a time when the West is scrambling to help Ukraine with more arms and financing after Kyiv's failed counteroffensive last summer and after Russian forces regained the initiative on the battlefield. Zarudnitsky advocated a number of changes in the way Russia organises its military and security, RIA added, including placing greater emphasis on replying on what he called friendly countries to ensure Russia's own security and consolidating the whole of Russian society around its defence needs. Kiryakos Mitsotakis said; "At the very end, we heard sirens and explosions, which were very close to us. We didn't have time to go to a protected place, it's a very striking experience," the Greek Prime Minister added. We understand that this war concerns everyone. Russia Accused of Using Chemical Weapons Against Ukrainian Soldiers.
Ukraines’ Air Defence Missiles Are Running Out, Zelenskiy Warns and AGAIN Pleads US For HELP, Which Continues to be BLOCKED by Republicans... -US REP MOUTHY Marjorie Says 'Kiss My ASS' Ukrainian troops told the Daily Telegraph that they have been subjected to regular attacks from small drones dropping teargas and other chemicals. The use of such substances, which is known as CS, is banned during wartime under the Chemical Weapons Convention. The Guardian 8 APR 2024 ![]() ![]() Ukraine soldiers describe ‘almost daily’ illegal gas attacks as invaders seek to dislodge them from embedded positions. Russia has been accused of systematically using illegal chemical gas attacks against Ukrainian soldiers. Ukrainian troops told the Daily Telegraph that they have been subjected to regular attacks from small drones dropping teargas and other chemicals. The use of such substances, which is known as CS, is banned during wartime under the Chemical Weapons Convention. Slava, a senior lieutenant whose unit is deployed near Lyman, in Donetsk oblast, said some Ukrainian units in his area were coming under “almost daily” gas attacks. A CS gas grenade was provided to the Telegraph for verification by Rebekah Maciorowski, an American combat medic and a qualified nurse serving in the Ukrainian army. Maciorowski has been routinely called to provide medical aid to Ukrainian soldiers in the three brigades she works with in Donetsk oblast after chemical weapon attacks, which she described as “systematic”. The grenade was originally retrieved by soldiers in the 53rd Mechanised Brigade, one of the units with which she works. Maciorowski said: “My guys retrieved it while under fire because nobody believed they were being attacked with chemical weapons.” Ihor, the commander of a Ukrainian reconnaissance team deployed near the frontline city of Chasiv Yar, in Donetsk oblast, told the Telegraph: “Nearly every position in our area of the front was getting one or two gas grenades dropped on them a day.” He said that because of how embedded many Ukrainian troops are now, it was difficult for the Russians to attack with conventional artillery or drones firing missiles, adding: “The only way for them to successfully attack us was with gas.” In 2022, Chris Philp, UK technology minister at the time, warned that Russia can expect a “dramatic increased response” from the west if Vladimir Putin uses chemical weapons in Ukraine. Philp also accused the Kremlin of sharing disinformation online to create a false narrative that Ukraine is preparing to use chemical weapons, so that Russia can launch its own chemical attack. Putin was accused of using chemical weapons in a drone assault on the port of Mariupol in the early stages of its invasion in February 2022. ![]() PUTIN Accused of WAR Crimes MORE; Britains' Foreign Secretary Cameron WARNS US Over Blocked Ukraine Aid Security of West is at risk unless extra funding is approved..US is risking the Wests' security by blocking Ukraine aid 'Kiss My ASS'' Queen of TARTS MOUTHY Marjorie Greene Insults David Cameron Over Ukraine Aid Deal The Guardian 8 APR 2024 David Cameron will urge Mike Johnson, the House of Representatives speaker, to stop his Republican colleagues from continuing to block the support Lord Cameron will warn that the US is risking the West’s security by holding up a new package of aid for Ukraine when he visits Washington DC next week... British Foreign Secretary LORD David Cameron Meets TRUMP to UNBLOCK Ukraine Support
Foreign Secretary hosted by former president at his resort before meeting Republicans in Washington In Washington the British Foreign Secretary will urge congressional leaders to advance aid for Kyiv in its war against Russia The Guardian 9 APR 2024 ![]() ![]() Lord Cameron meets Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago ![]() David Cameron has held talks with Donald Trump in Florida amid a push to shore up support for Ukraine and advance a new package of aid that is held up in Congress. In a statement on Monday, a Foreign Office spokesperson said: “Ahead of his visit to Washington, the foreign secretary will meet former President Trump in Florida today. It is standard practice for ministers to meet with opposition candidates as part of their routine international engagement.” Cameron’s discussion with the presumptive Republican presidential candidate, believed to be the first such meeting by a senior UK minister with Trump since he left office, covered Ukraine, the war in Gaza and the future of Nato, according to a report in the Telegraph. Trump has repeatedly voiced misgivings about aid to Ukraine and questioned America’s commitment to Nato, the international alliance which the US has committed to defending when necessary. ![]() On his visit to Washington, Cameron will warn that success for Kyiv in defeating Russia is “vital for American and European security” as he urges lawmakers across to approve “urgent” further assistance for the country. ![]() He will hold talks with his US counterpart, Antony Blinken, the national security adviser, Jake Sullivan, and the Senate Republican leader, Mitch McConnell, and is hoping to meet the House speaker, Mike Johnson, whose colleagues are preventing the vote on an extra $60bn (£47bn) of Ukraine aid. Lord Cameron will push for Ukraine to be given the resources needed to “go on the offensive” in 2025 and will urge congressional leaders to “change the narrative” on support for Kyiv, the Foreign Office said. Kids Stop Squabbling -US House Passes Crucial Aid Worth $61BIL For Ukraine
US House approves $61BIL in military aid for Ukraine after months of stalling Ukrainian President Thanks America After Speaker Mike Johnson Secures Bipartisan Support For Funding Ukraine After British Foreign Secretary Lord David Camerons' Visit to US to UNBLOCK Ukraine Support The Guardian 21 APR 2024 ![]() After months of stalling, the US House of Representatives finally approved more than $61bn worth of military assistance to help Ukraine in its desperate defense against Russia, as well as billions for other allies including Israel and Taiwan. In a bipartisan vote, 210 Democrats and 101 Republicans joined to support Ukraine, with 112 Republicans – a majority of the GOP members – voting against. It came after the Republican speaker, Mike Johnson, forced a series of bills onto the floor in the face of fierce resistance within his own Republican party, many of whom oppose spending more on Ukraine’s defense. The Senate is set to begin considering the House-passed bill on Tuesday, with some preliminary votes that afternoon. Final passage was expected sometime next week, which would clear the way for Biden to sign it into law. Voting began hours ahead of schedule in an extraordinary Saturday session that delayed the House’s planned recess. The House erupted into applause when the Ukraine bill passed, with the chair, Marc Molinaro of New York, admonishing members not to wave Ukrainian flags. In a powerful effort to sum up the stakes before the vote, the former Democratic speaker, Nancy Pelosi, made a stridently graphic appeal: “I hope our colleagues will choose democracy and decency rather than autocracy and evil because I fear if you choose the Putin route, you will have blood on your hands, blood of the children, blood of their mothers raped in front of their parents, raped in front of their children,” she said. Volodymyr Zelenskiy, Ukraine’s president, recently warned that his country “will lose the war” without US assistance, as its military has struggled with ammunition and air defense shortages and Russia has pressed a growing advantage in firepower as Congress prevaricated. Immediately after the bill passed, ZelenskIy released a statement expressing his gratitude to both parties “and personally Speaker Mike Johnson for the decision that keeps history on the right track”. ![]() “Democracy and freedom will always have global significance and will never fail as long as America helps to protect it,” he said. “The vital US aid bill passed today by the House will keep the war from expanding, save thousands and thousands of lives, and help both of our nations to become stronger. Just peace and security can only be attained through strength. We hope that bills will be supported in the Senate and sent to President Biden’s desk. Putin Pardons Murderers, Cannibals To Fight In Ukraine Amid Troop Shortage
Putins’ Army: Murderers, Maniacs and Cannibals Released From Prison For War MailOnline 3 MAY 2024 ![]() ![]() ![]() Convicted murderers Dmitry Malyshev and Alexander Maslennikov are now fighting on the frontline in Ukraine Convicted multiple murderer and self-confessed cannibal Dmitry Malyshev has been released from prison by Putin to fight in Ukraine on the frontline and is joined by another notorious criminal. Two sick criminals - a cannibal and a rapist 'meat grinder' killer - were released from prison early by Putin to fight in Ukraine and have now joined forces on the frontline. One of the two offenders, murderer Dmitry Malyshev, 36, admitted to killing three men, ripping out the heart of one of them and frying it with herbs and seasoning before eating it with a side of vegetables. The second is rapist-killer Alexander Maslennikov, 38, who was jailed for using an axe and a meat grinder to dismember the bodies of two women he killed in his home, then feeding the remains of his victims to dogs. Both have had their sentences cut short and were released from prison, amongst hundreds of thousands of other Russian criminals, in order to join the armed forces and fight in Unit Storm V in Ukraine as part of Putin's illegal invasion of the country. The Russian president calls his fighters the "new elite" of Russia although many of them have committed heinous crimes. These two convicted killers were pictured grinning together in military uniform and have spoken out about their partnership, according to V1 Media. Malyshev, who had been jailed for 25 years for his role in criminal gang murders, banditry, theft, illegal weapons trafficking, robbery and cannibalism, announced that he and Maslennikov intend "to preserve the traditional values of Russia" by fighting for the country. He continued: "Alexander and I were serving sentences together and we both signed contracts with the Ministry of Defence in October 2023. We serve in Storm V." Released 17 years early, at the time of his arrest he confessed in great detail his brutal crimes, saying: "I caught up with a man there, and killed him. I hit him several times on the head with a nail gun and cut out his heart.” ![]() Daria Labutina was killed by Maslennikov in the bathroom of his apartment ![]() Olga Shaposhnikova ate pizza with Maslennikov moments before being tied up and strangled He then left to buy supplies including an axe, file, spade, and plastic bin bags. He dismembered the bodies, one of them believed to have been cut into 20 pieces, and took them to a forest area and buried them. Forensic investigators later found DNA evidence of both of the women on a meat grinder in his kitchen and local reports cited he had fed some of the human flesh to dogs. Malyshev is currently in a military hospital with a broken jaw and shrapnel wounds. |

Zelensky Survives New Assassination Attempt as Putin Bombs OWN People
--12 ways Putin spies have tried to kill Zelensky as Ukraine leader survives new assassination attempt Putin Vows His Forces Are Always Ready in WW2 Rant.. Every TV in Occupied Crimea Broadcasts Footage of Russian TORTURE Chamber After Ukrainian Hack MailOnline 9 MAY 2024 ![]() Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky has already foiled "more than a dozen" assassination attempts after it emerged that he has narrowly escaped death again. Ukrainian counterintelligence investigators said they dismantled a Russian plot to assassinate the president, along with other senior political and military figures. Two State Guard of Ukraine colonels - whose role is to protect high-ranking officials - have been taken into custody for allegedly enacting a plan drawn up by the Russian FSB. The two officers are said to have been recruited before the war broke out in February 2022. But it's not the first time Zelensky has been targeted. Weeks after the February invasion, reports emerged that alleged Vladimir Putin had told Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov to hunt down and liquidate Ukraine's leaders. ![]() Ukrainian spymaster Major General Kyrylo Budanov In March, commandos from Chechnya were deployed to assassinate Zelensky. But they didn't get far and were quickly taken out by Ukraine's intelligence service. In that same month, a Russian private military company called Redut was given a similar task - to infiltrate and eliminate the political leadership. The operation - in which more than 1,000 fighters reported for duty - was unsuccessful as up to 90 per cent of the soldiers were slaughtered when they tried to seize institutions in Kyiv. ![]() Ukrainian secret service operatives swoop on the "Russian FSB" agents A year later in August 2023, it emerged that another assassination had been prevented when a woman was arrested on suspicion of gathering information about Zelensky's holiday to Mykolaiv. In April 2024, Pawel K - a Polish national - was also seized. He was accused of trying to organised the president's assassination at a Polish airport. It's currently unclear exactly how many attempts have been made against the president's life, but his adviser Mykhailo Podolyak said he believes it's "more than a dozen". Regarding the attempt that emerged today, State Security Service head, Vasyl Maliuk, was quoted as saying the plot foresaw an attack before Russian President Vladimir Putin's inauguration for a fifth term on Tuesday. Maliuk said that he personally oversaw the top-secret operation to track the plot. Ukrainian claims of Russian efforts to kill Zelensky aren't new. Zelensky said in 2022 there has been at least 10 attempts to assassinate him, and now the war with Russia has stretched into its third year. Zelensky's movements are kept secret for security reasons, and his visits around the country are publicly announced only after he has left. News of events he holds in Kyiv is usually embargoed until they are over. Zelensky proved to be a valuable asset for his country as the war against Ukraine's bigger neighbor grinds on, and as Kyiv's depleted forces wait for more troops and weapons. He has urged his people to keep fighting and instilled a belief that Ukraine can prevail. The Ukrainian statement said the Russian intelligence agents targeting Zelensky sought out members of the Ukrainian military close to the president's security detail who could take the head of state hostage and later kill him. The operation was run from Moscow, it said, providing the names of three alleged Russian spies behind the conspiracy. The broader plan was to identify the location of senior Ukrainian officials and target them with a rocket attack, followed by drones and missiles. The two Ukrainian colonels were arrested on suspicion of treason, which carries a life sentence, the statement said. ‘If You Say You Are a Musician, They Beat You More’:
The Ukrainian sax player who survived Putins' torture prisons The Guardian 12 MAY 2024 ![]() Yuri Merkotan lost nearly 60kg during his capture. The Ukrainian sax player who survived Putins' torture prisons.. Yuriy Merkotan played in a military band and, after being caught up in the Mariupol siege, spent nearly two years in various jails When Yuriy Merkotan enlisted in Ukraine’s national guard in 2020, it was not because he wanted to fight. A saxophonist living in the southern port city of Mariupol, there were few opportunities to play music professionally. So when a spot became free in a 16-person band attached to a national guard brigade, he jumped at the chance. But when Russian forces put Mariupol under siege in February 2022, the band members were called to duty. They ended up inside Azovstal, the sprawling factory that became the last bastion of Ukrainian defence as the Russian occupation proceeded to its grim conclusion. When Ukrainian forces in Azovstal laid down their arms in May 2022, Merkotan and other musicians were among more than 2,000 Ukrainians taken into Russian captivity. Over 20 months in Russian prisons, he lost nearly 60kg of body weight, and was subjected to a gruesome routine of physical and psychological torment. He was freed in January this year, but the story of his time in Russian captivity shines a light on the grim conditions faced by thousands of Ukrainians taken prisoner by Russia over the past two years. It also serves as a reminder that 23 musicians, from three Mariupol ensembles, remain in Russian captivity, as the two-year anniversary of the Russian takeover of the city approaches next week. “I tried to explain that I was a musician but it didn’t work. You say you are a musician and it irritates them so much they beat you more, and accuse you of lying,” said Merkotan, during an interview in a Kyiv cafe. Before Vladimir Putin’s decision to launch the full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, Merkotan’s 16-person national guard orchestra played ceremonial marches at military parades, and toured Donetsk region giving concerts of popular music covers at public events or old-people’s homes. After the start of hostilities, the musicians were put in charge of bringing food and supplies to other parts of the national guard stationed in the huge territory of Azovstal. It was a dangerous job that involved scarpering above ground with heavy barrels and boxes, moving quickly enough to evade the incoming fire that inevitably followed as soon as they made an appearance. The band’s drummer was killed in an airstrike inside Azovstal; the trombonist, who is also Merkotan’s brother-in-law, was wounded. Eventually, 10 musicians from the band ended up in Russian captivity. For the first months, they were mostly held in crowded barracks in the town of Olenivka, in Russian-occupied eastern Ukraine. Drinking water came straight from the river and sometimes had a greenish tinge; food was served *piping hot and with a window of a couple of minutes to wolf it down, forcing hungry prisoners either to burn their mouths or abstain. One hot day in the summer of 2022, Merkotan’s name was called and he was put on a bus with other prisoners. “We didn’t know where they were taking us. Three guys came in with weapons and were aggressive, shouting at us that we are scum and that if we make any move they’ll kill us,” he said. It turned out that Merkotan was among 60 men picked for the unenviable task of exhuming bodies of those who died in shelling and airstrikes in Mariupol, and had been buried in makeshift graves. For a month, he was driven daily to the occupied city and forced to dig at gunpoint. “My team dug up 200 bodies at least. It was August, hot, and the smell was disgusting. Surprisingly, nobody vomited. I guess the stress was too much, but we all got terrible diarrhoea. On the fourth day, I stopped eating because as soon as you ate you had to run to the toilet,” he recalled. At the beginning of October, he was blindfolded and put in a prison truck. After hours of driving along bumpy roads, he was pushed on to a plane, the first time in his life he had taken a flight. Although he remained blindfolded and handcuffed, he assumed the movement meant he would be exchanged. Instead, after landing and another truck ride, the barking of dogs and coarse Russian shouting informed him he was back at a prison. It was only later, from ink stamps on the bed sheets, that he found out the location: Borisoglebsk, in Russia’s Voronezh region. The humiliations of Russian prison made Merkotan miss the conditions back in occupied Ukraine. At Borisoglebsk, prisoners were forbidden from sitting or lying between 6am and 10pm, when they were forced to stand up in their cells. Many developed serious leg injuries. The speaker system played the same few recorded radio programmes about Ukrainian Nazis over and over again. Twice a day, the inmates had to assemble in the corridor, face against the wall and legs apart as wide as they could manage. They were then assaulted by guards who beat them with rubber truncheons, and sometimes used handheld electric shockers. After some months, Merkotan was moved to another prison in the same town, where the conditions were slightly better and the men were allowed to sit. Then, in January this year, he was told he would be exchanged. The blindfold went on again and he was put in a bus that drove in what he assumed was the direction of the border with Ukraine. But after some hours, the bus stopped, then turned around. When they stopped later, one of the Russian guards began punching him hard, breaking his jaw in two places. “That’s for what your guys did,” the man shouted. The swap, he later found out, had been cancelled after a transport plane that Russia claimed was carrying dozens of prisoners meant to be exchanged was shot down by a Ukrainian missile. Much about the incident remains murky and disputed. A week later, he was taken from the prison again and this time the exchange went ahead, with Merkotan one of about 200 Ukrainians heading home. ![]() Merkotan has been reunited with his wife, Anastasia, a music teacher he met when the pair were both music students in the city of Donetsk a decade ago. ![]() While he was in captivity, Anastasia had started a project named “Bring the Band Home”, dedicated to returning the musicians held in Russian captivity, from Yuriy’s orchestra and two other military-linked ensembles that had been in Mariupol. She said there is little or no information about many of the 23 musicians remaining in Russian captivity. The Telegraph understands that extremists are being recruited by undercover officers of the GRU – the Russian military intelligence service – and members of the mercenary group Wagner. It comes after the expulsion of Col Elovik Maxim, the Russian defence attache to the UK, who is believed to be a GRU operative. An intelligence source said: “The GRU are cultivating a network of Right-wing terrorists to deploy against Nato targets. “These attacks are already happening and have been going on for a while in various Nato countries and the UK is definitely on the target list. “Attacks may have taken place in the US and have occurred in Germany. “Intelligence agencies are now actively warning their governments that the threat is very real. “Right-wing extremists are being targeted because they are the group in the political spectrum who are pro-Russia, pro-Putin and very violent. “There is also a lot of covert contact between Right-wing groups in different countries.” The disclosures follow comments last month by Thomas Haldenwang, the head of German domestic intelligence, who told a security conference: “We assess the risk of [Russian] state-controlled acts of sabotage to be significantly increased.” He added that the attacks would come with “a high potential for damage”. Poland Unveils New Iron Curtain to Protect Europe
Poland Unveils New £2BIL Iron Curtain to Protect Europe From Russia as WW3 Fears Erupt NATO member Poland unveils Iron Curtain to protect Europe from Putins' Russia The Guardian 30 MAY 2024 ![]() Cezary Tomczyk, deputy defence minister, presents the East Shield at the General Staff headquarters in Warsaw, on Monday ![]() Inside Polands' incredible new £2bn mega-project to make it impossible for Putin to invade ![]() Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has announced that his country will spend almost £2billion on a 250-mile defensive structure to prevent a Russian invasion of Nato's eastern flank. Anti-tank ditches, bunkers and minefields planned for 434 miles of Belarus and Russia border by 2028 The eastern European country has armed itself to the teeth in recent years and now it's building a 250-mile "impassable" defensive structure to keep out Russia. The East Shield programme will see a giant metal barrier, as well as other fortifications, be installed along the border separating Poland and the Russian exclave Kaliningrad - a distance of around 145 miles. The Shield will also be built along Poland's border with Belarus - a key Russian ally - which is approximately 260 miles. The project will link up with defensive structures being built in the Baltic states, which should allay fears that Putin may try and exploit the 40-mile Suwałki Gap - the border between Poland and Lithuania. Announcing the project on 80th anniversary of the Allies' victory over the Nazis in the Battle for Rome in World War Two, 67-year-old Tusk said: "We are launching a major project to build a secure border, including fortifications and environmental adjustments, making it impassable for potential enemies". The former President of the European Council added: "We will build the East Shield and thereby fulfill the task assigned by the NATO, tasks of deterrence and defence. These tasks are extremely important, as the largest country on NATO’s eastern flank." This is just the latest strategic military decision Poland has made since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, designed to ramp up their capacity to defend themselves. ![]() The Eastern European country now spends more on defence in GDP terms than any other country in NATO, including the United States. In 2022, the Polish government announced that military investment would go from 2.4 percent to 3.9 percent. MORE: Putins’ Plot to Destroy NATO is Reaching Its Devastating Climax Ukraines’ fight isn’t merely for its existence as a nation – it’s a battle for the very fabric of the global order. ![]() Yes, it’s about safeguarding European security – a rallying cry heard in countless statements from Western officials, often accompanied by assurances of limited air defence and ammunition – But as Ukraine continues to lose ground, towns, and lives, the West’s response is tepid, with its only firm stance drawn around Nato borders, where geopolitical interests overshadow humanitarian concerns. But what if Putin dares to cross these lines, dismissing Western threats as mere bluster? What if Ukraine falls, emboldening Putin to pursue further expansion into the other former Soviet Union states that, in his view, belong in the Russian empire? Will Nato truly honour its pledge to collective security, or is that promise nothing but hollow rhetoric? The fact is, Nato’s resilience is more fragile than we think. And a victory for Putin could see the world’s most successful alliance begin to crumble. The strength of Nato lies not only in its military prowess but in its unwavering commitment to collective defence, enshrined in Article 5. Yet Article 5 merely compels members to contemplate a response. “The Parties agree that … if such an armed attack occurs, each of them … will take action as it deems necessary…” – that’s all that Article 5 says. That action could mean anything from sending a warship to patrol an incursion, to merely expressing deep concern. |

Biden Bows to GLOBAL Pressure and Allows Ukraine to Use US Weapons to Strike Russia
Joe Biden has bowed to international pressure to allow Ukraine to use American weapons to strike Russian territory after the head of Nato said “the time has come” to overturn the ban. BBC 31 MAY 2024 The US has given Kyiv permission to use its weapons to strike Russia for the limited purpose of defending Kharkiv, according to two US officials. Jens Stoltenberg, the alliance's secretary general, said: 'The time has come to consider some of these restrictions, to enable the Ukrainians to really defend themselves' The unnamed officials insisted the US policy preventing Ukraine from using American-provided long-range missiles to strike inside Russia has not changed. It comes after Jens Stoltenberg, Nato’s alliance’s secretary-general, said the “time has come” for restrictions to be lifted, after France and Germany earlier this week signalled an easing of their own rules. Antony Blinken, the US secretary of state, reassured Czech leaders that progress was being made on the issue in meetings on Thursday at the beginning of a two-day summit of Nato ministers in Prague. It is rare for any Nato chief to directly put pressure on a US president and Mr Stoltenberg’s intervention was described as “surprising” by diplomatic sources. “Allies are delivering many different types of military support to Ukraine and some of them have imposed some restrictions on the use of these weapons… these are national decisions,” Mr Stoltenberg said in a speech ahead of the gathering. “But I think that in light of how this war has evolved the time has come to consider some of these restrictions, to enable the Ukrainians to really defend themselves.” In recent weeks Kyiv has repeatedly urged its Western allies to allow the use of their long-range weapons to strike military targets on Russian soil. “It was surprising,” a diplomat said of Mr Stoltenberg’s campaign to support Ukraine’s push. “As important as it was, it is not for the secretary general to be giving advice to individual allies on bilateral issues.” A growing number of European countries, including Britain and France, have granted Kyiv permission to use Western missiles against Russian military targets before they cross the border. Moscow is massing troops on the border with Ukraine ahead of a long-awaited summer offensive. But Washington, Ukraine’s key military backer, had until now refused to approve the use of weapons like the long-range Atacms missiles to strike troops or logistics hubs inside Russia. Ukrainian firefighters with Magirus Wolf C1 tactical robot carry out extinguishing efforts at the site of Russian aerial attack on the private residential area of the city of Oleksievo-Druzhkivka, Ukraine Ukrainian firefighters at the site of Russian aerial attack on the private residential area of the city of Oleksievo-Druzhkivka - Anadolu President Biden was said to be reluctant amid fears the move could drag Nato into a wider conflict with Russia, a nuclear superpower. But on Thursday, he was reported for the first time to be “edging towards” a U-turn on the issue as Mr Blinken said the US regularly “adjusts” its position in response to events on the battlefield. “I’m confident we’ll continue to do that,” he said at a news conference in Chisinau. The Kremlin on Thursday said Nato members calling for relaxed rules on Western weapons were “provoking” Kyiv into prolonging the war. Dmitry Suslov, an influential think-tank analyst linked to Vladimir Putin’s regime, said Russia should consider a “demonstrative” nuclear explosion to warn the West against its missiles being used in cross-border strikes. Despite the threats, there was a mounting expectation amongst European allies in Prague that Washington would soon overturn its ban. “They [America] are looking into this. From what I understand there will be progress,” a senior Czech official familiar with the discussions told The Telegraph. The source credited President Emmanuel Macron’s decision this week to allow French weapons to be used to “neutralise” Russian targets over the border Jan Lipavsky, the Czech foreign minister, told reporters: “I feel that we are moving on that in the international sphere.” Mr Blinken was said to have changed his mind on the use of American weapons after he was warned by President Volodymyr Zelensky that Ukraine could lose Kharkiv, its second-largest city, on a “sobering visit” to Kyiv this month, The New York Times reported. An anonymous US official told the newspaper that it was “inevitable” that Mr Biden would reverse its ban. The White House is also understood to be cautious about allowing Ukraine’s position on the battlefield to deteriorate too much ahead of Nato’s 75th anniversary summit in Washington in July. Sources said Russian advances would be used by Donald Trump, who is expected to be officially named the Republican presidential candidate days after the gathering, to further undermine Mr Biden’s flagship policy of defending Ukraine. Fatal Mistake': Putins' Right-Hand Man Fires Terrifying NUKE Warning to NATO
Russia is threatening to strike NATO countries if Ukraine uses Western weapons to hit Russian territories. MailOnline 2 JUN 2024 ![]() Vladimir Putins right hand man has issued a chilling nuclear warning to NATO over one 'fatal mistake'. Russia launched massive shelling on the Izyum ![]() Dmitry Medvedev, deputy chairman of the Security Council of Russia, emphasised the severe consequences of Western intervention in the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine. Medvedev's statements come amidst heightened tensions and increased Western support for Ukraine. "All Western military equipment and specialists fighting against Russia will be destroyed not only in Ukraine, but also in other countries if they are launched from there onto Russian territory," Medvedev declared. This bold assertion highlights Russia's readiness to target any Western involvement perceived as a direct threat to its territory. Medvedev further cautioned that individual assistance from NATO countries, whether in the form of missile control or troop deployment, would significantly escalate the situation. "Individual assistance from NATO countries against Russia, be it controlling missiles or sending troops, would be a serious escalation," he noted, "followed by a response of such force that the alliance itself would not be able to resist being drawn into the conflict." This warning coincides with a recent announcement from the German government regarding Ukraine's use of weapons provided by Western allies. Germany has affirmed Ukraine's right to use these weapons against attacks originating from Russian positions just over the border. The German government stated, "Together with its closest allies and in consultation with Ukraine, it is continually adapting its support to developments in the war." The statement emphasised Ukraine's right to self-defence under international law, particularly against Russian attacks on the Kharkiv region. "For this, it can also use the weapons delivered for that purpose in accordance with its international legal commitments, including the ones delivered by us,” the German government added. Similarly, US President Joe Biden has given Kyiv the go-ahead to use American-supplied weapons against Russian military assets targeting Kharkiv. |

US Himars Strike Destroys Air Defences Inside Russia as Kremlin Warns of Fatal Consequences
Russia Using 'Mad Max' War Bikes in Attempt to Dodge Ukraines' Killer Drones Images of the Russian "Mad Max" vehicles have emerged with sidecars, bizarre metal cages, and camouflage netting. However, these vehicles are vulnerable to Ukrainian artillery, missiles and drones BBC 5 JUN 2024 Ukrainian troops have used US-supplied Himars missiles to destroy an advanced air defence system inside Russia, as the Kremlin warned Washington it could suffer “fatal consequences” for backing the cross-border attacks. ![]() ![]() Several missiles are understood to have hit an air defence installation in the Russian town of Belgorod that was equipped with S-300/400 surface-to-air missiles. Photos of the aftermath of the attack, which is believed to have happened on Sunday, show vehicles on fire and billowing out smoke. On Monday, Sergei Ryabkov, Moscow’s deputy foreign minister, said that the US would face “fatal consequences” if it allowed Ukraine to use American weapons for attacks inside Russia. The US has so far allowed Kyiv to hit targets within Russia only if they pose an immediate threat to Ukrainian forces. It’s not clear if the strike on Belgorod breaches the limits the US has imposed on the weapons, but Volodymyr Zelensky, the Ukrainian president, has requested permission to use US munitions for long range strikes. On Monday, those wishes were echoed by Dmytro Kuleba, the foreign minister, who told his Estonian counterpart Ukraine was pressing its allies “on expanding the scope of its application”. “It is not 100 per cent, you know, clearance. It comes with some rules that need to be followed,” he said at a press conference. ‘Don’t underestimate the rebuff’ Ukraine has argued that in not allowing it to fire long range weapons into Russia, its allies are hamstringing its defence. Mr Zelensky said: “So they have these weapons there and they do not remove them because they know that Ukraine cannot target them with Western weaponry even if they fire against us.” Ukraine’s supporters fear striking inside Russia will drag them closer to direct conflict with Moscow. Mr Ryabkov warned the US to take a more serious approach to conflict, risking miscalculation if they don’t. “I urge these figures [in the US] ... to spend some of their time, which they apparently spend on some kind of video games, judging by the lightness of their approach, on studying what was said in detail by Putin,” Mr Ryabkov said. “I would like to warn American leaders against miscalculations that could have fatal consequences. For unknown reasons, they underestimate the seriousness of the rebuff they may receive,” he added. Vladimir Putin said the West would be directly involved in any use of its weapons by Ukraine to strike deep inside Russia, because such attacks would require its satellite, intelligence and military help. Attacks over the border have stepped up dramatically in recent weeks after Russian forces launched a renewed ground offensive into Ukraine’s north-east. Ukraine has responded with attacks of its own. Among the most recent was one with drones that destroyed a convoy of 15 Russian trucks, according to footage recorded by the brigades involved in the attack. On Monday, Mr Kuleba said Russia was trying to dissuade countries from participating in a Ukraine peace summit to be held in Switzerland later this month. He said Russia was aiming to discredit the summit publicly, convince countries not to participate and urge those intent on going to send low-level representatives. Russia Using 'Mad Max' War Bikes.. ![]() Russia has begun equipping more assault groups with inexpensive civilian vehicles Russia is using "Mad Max" bikes to dodge Ukrainian drones after losing more than 15,000 armoured vehicles - as their war supplies continue to dwindle. ![]() The armed vehicles have been mocked online According to the Ukrainian Centre for Defence, the Russians are “employing light vehicles such as motorcycles and ATVs to quickly traverse the distance from their attack launch positions to the front lines of the Ukrainian defence forces.” However, these vehicles are extremely vulnerable to Ukrainian artillery, missiles, and drones. Images have emerged of the bikes with sidecars and bizarre metal cages covering them - along with some camouflage netting. They've been compared to the vehicles used in the post-apocalyptic Mad Max film franchise but the 70-horsepower ATV or a 50-horsepower motorbike is unable to withstand much armour without losing its speed. They were first deployed in Spring but they were “beaten in the teeth,” according to the Ukrainian 79th Air Assault Brigade. “The armoured motorcycle was one of the many concepts that died with the interwar era,” Tanks Encyclopedia told Forbes. “Their increased weight and relatively high cost, coupled with limited combat potential, meant that their place in armoured fighting vehicle history resulted in little more than a footnote.” It comes as Ukraine imposed emergency power shutdowns in most of the country on Sunday, a day after Russia unleashed large-scale attacks on energy infrastructure and claimed it made gains in the eastern Donetsk province. The shutdowns were in place in all but three regions of Ukraine following Saturday’s drone and missile attack on energy targets that injured at least 19 people. ![]() Comparisons have been made with "Mad Max" Ukraine’s state-owned power grid operator Ukrenergo said the shutdowns affected both industrial and household consumers. Sustained Russian attacks on Ukraine’s power grid in recent weeks have forced the government to institute nationwide rolling blackouts. Without adequate air defences to counter assaults and allow for repairs, though, the shortages could still worsen as need spikes in late summer and the bitter-cold winter. Among the most significant recent strikes were an April barrage that damaged Kyiv’s largest thermal power plant and a massive attack on May 8 that targeted power generation and transmission facilities in several regions. ![]() Ukrainian air intelligence soldier carries a drone in the direction of Bakhmut, Ukraine.. Following Saturday’s barrage, Ukraine’s air force said Sunday that air defences had shot down all 25 drones launched overnight. Russia claimed Sunday that it had taken control of the village of Umanske in the partially Russian-occupied Donetsk region. Russia’s coordinated new offensive has centred on Ukraine’s northeastern Kharkiv region, but seems to include testing Ukrainian defences in Donetsk farther south, while also launching incursions in the northern Sumy and Chernihiv regions. In Russia, six people were injured in shelling in the city of Shebekino in the Belgorod region bordering Ukraine, regional Gov. Vyacheslav Gladkov said Sunday. He also said that a local official, the deputy head of the Korochansky district, had been killed by “detonation of ammunition.” He gave no details. In the neighbouring Kursk region, three people were injured Sunday when an explosive device was dropped from a drone, according to acting regional head Alexey Smirnov. Massive Airstrike on Krasnodar! Russian Warships Arrive in Havana in Visit Seen as Show of Strength
Four vessels, including nuclear-powered submarine and frigate, greeted by sparse crowd upon arrival in Cuba Russia accused of ‘deliberate’ starvation tactics in Mariupol in submission to ICC ---Lawyers say strategy of denying food and services to people in Ukrainian city during siege could amount to war crime The Guardian 13 JUN 2024 ![]() The frigate Admiral Gorshkov, part of the Russian naval detachment visiting Cuba, arriving at Havana's harbour on Wednesday. A fleet of Russian warships has arrived in the bay of Havana, in a visit seen as a show of strength amid tensions with the west over support for Ukraine. Four vessels, including the nuclear-powered submarine Kazan and the frigate Admiral Gorshkov, entered Havana Bay early on Wednesday, where they offered a 21-gun salute that was reciprocated from the battlements of La Cabaña, the fortress where Che Guevara once had his office. En route to Cuba this week, the Gorshkov and the Kazan had conducted missile drills in the Atlantic, testing precision missiles at targets at a range of more than 600km (370 miles), according to Russia’s ministry of defence. The ships were met by a sparse Cuban crowd on Havana’s famous corniche, the Malecón, but there was a strong showing from Russian diplomats and their families who waved Russian flags and shouted: “Russia! Russia!” The visit was announced last week by Cuban officials who said that such visits from friendly countries were standard practice, that the Kazan carried no nuclear weapons and there was no threat to the region. Havana is just 100 miles from Key West, Florida, and the timing of the visit suggests more than “standard practice”, said William Leogrande, a professor at American University. “The visiting Russian warships are Putin’s way of reminding Biden that Moscow can challenge Washington in its own sphere of influence,” Leogrande told the AP. Gustavo Rivero González had come to witness the arrivals. “It’s a once-in-a-lifetime situation,” he said. “I didn’t live through the 1962 [Cuban missile] crisis. We’re living in a moment when the powers are pushing at each other.” Antonio Mart*nez, who was trying to sell a three-peso note bearing Guevara’s face, was more vocal. “It’s ridiculous,” he said. “There are five million Cubans in Miami. We’re much closer to the United States. And right now we are starving.” |

Joe Biden Says Democracies Can Deliver as G7 Agree $50BIL Ukraine Aid Deal
Leaders of the G7 reached an agreement that will mobilise an extra $50BIL (£39BIL) of aid to Ukraine using frozen Russian state assets. President hails breakthrough as US and Ukraine also announce 10-year bilateral security agreement The Guardian 14 JUN 2024 ![]() Speaking at the G7 summit in Puglia, Italy, on Thursday, Biden hailed the breakthrough as he met Ukraine’s president Volodymr Zelenskiy and announced the two countries had also signed a 10-year bilateral security agreement, ending 12 months of difficult negotiations. “We are putting our money to work for Ukraine, and giving another reminder to Putin that we are not backing down,” Biden said at a joint press conference with the Ukrainian leader. Biden said arrangements were being made to provide Ukraine with five Patriot missile defence systems, saying: “Everything we have is going to Ukraine until its needs are met.” But he ruled out US weapons being used to strike deeper into Russia beyond the weapons bases being used to strike the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv. “In terms of longer range of weapons into the interior of Russia we are not changing our positions,” he said. Zelenskiy described the deal as the “strongest agreement” struck since his country’s independence in 1991. “Today is a truly historic day,” he said. The Ukrainian leader described the security guarantee as “a very detailed legally binding agreement” that lasts not just for the duration of the war but afterwards, too. He said the deal covers intelligence cooperation and the strengthening of Ukrainian defence industries. Zelenskiy said he had been given undertakings by the Chinese president Xi Jinping that Beijing would not sell weapons to Russia. “He gave me his word,” he said. But Biden argued that China, by supplying technology and dual-use components, was in fact arming Russia. Earlier in the day, Biden sought to rally western political leaders as they face an unprecedented attack from the populist right, saying: “We stand at an inflection point in history that occurs every five or six, seven generations, and the decisions that we make now will determine the course of our future. “I’m proud to announce we have mobilised more than $50bn in investments around the world. Together we are showing democracies can deliver.” His remarks came as the G7 reached an outline provisional deal to use the profits derived from frozen Russian sovereign assets to underwrite a $50bn loan to Ukraine designed to help fend off the impact of Russian military attacks. |

Vladimir Putin Arrives in Vietnam Following North Korea Visit - Putin Vows Deeper Ties With Vietnam
Russian Ministers Thrown Out of Kim Jong-uns' Meeting Over Lack of Respect Kims' flunky put Putins’ top ministers in their place by ejecting them from the meeting room where the two leaders were due to hold talks thanks to a perceived snub to the North Korean dictator BBC News 22 JUN 2024 ![]() Putin Arrives in Vietnam ![]() Russian Ministers Thrown Out of Kim Jong-uns' Meeting Over Lack of Respect ![]() North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un gifted Vladimir Putin two hunting dogs at their summit in Pyongyang The leaders of Vietnam and Russia have said they want to boost ties as the pair met in the Vietnamese capital of Hanoi. Vietnamese President To Lam was full of praise for his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, congratulating him on his recent re-election. Mr Putin, in return, said strengthening a strategic partnership with the south-east Asian country was one of Russia's priorities. His trip to Vietnam, which comes on the heels of his lavish visit to North Korea, is being interpreted as a demonstration of the diplomatic support Russia still enjoys in the region. "Congratulations to our comrade for receiving overwhelming support during the recent presidential election, underlining the confidence of the Russian people," President Lam said after Mr Putin was given a red carpet welcome. Vietnam still values the historic ties it has with Russia even as it works to improve its relationship with Europe and the US. Looming over a small park in Ba Dinh, Hanoi’s political quarter, a five-meter high statue of Lenin depicts the Russian revolutionary in heroic pose. On his birthday every year a delegation of senior Vietnamese officials solemnly lay flowers and bow their heads before the statue, a gift from Russia when it was still the Soviet Union. Vietnam’s ties to Russia are close and go back many decades, to the vital military, economic and diplomatic support given by the Soviet Union to the new communist state in North Vietnam in the 1950s. Vietnam has described their relationship as "filled with loyalty and gratitude". After Vietnam invaded Cambodia in 1978 to throw out the murderous Khmer Rouge regime, it was isolated and sanctioned by China and the West, and depended heavily on Soviet assistance. Many older Vietnamese, including the powerful communist party secretary-general Nguyen Phu Trong, studied in Russia and learned the language. Today Vietnams’ economy has been transformed by its integration into global markets. Russia has fallen far behind China, Asia, the US and Europe as a trading partner. But Vietnam still uses mainly Russian-made military equipment, and relies on partnerships with Russian oil companies for oil exploration in the South China Sea. ![]() Lenin statue in Hanoi Russian ministers ordered to leave a meeting room in North Korea |

North Korea Risks WW3 as It Sends Cannon Fodder Troops to Fight For Putin in Ukraine
North Korean troops are set to set foot on Ukraine soil following a military alliance announced with Russia following Vladimir Putin's visit to Pyongyang last week MailOnline 27 JUN 2024 ![]() ![]() North Korean troops heading to Ukraine would be 'sent to slaughter' A military alliance between Russia and North Korea has sparked fears of the conflict in Ukraine escalating Kim Jong-un is set to send troops to Ukraine amidst growing fears of the escalating conflict between Russia and the West. Warlord Vladimir Putin signed a defence pact alongside the North Korean dictator as the Russian leader visited Pyongyang last week, promising military assistance with one another. Since the agreement, it's been announced North Korea would send units to the Donetsk region as Russia continues its invasion. Fears are rising about the state's involvement in the Ukraine conflict, with North Korea having already supplied arms to Russia. It's thought Pyongyang has already sent up to 1.6million shells to help Russia's war. The military alliance has been condemned by scores of countries in the West, including the US. The Pentagon said North Korean troops being sent to Ukraine meant they would face slaughter, questioning Kim Jong-un's motive. Spokesman Pat Ryder said in a briefing: "I think that if I were North Korean military personnel management, I would be questioning my choices on sending my forces to be cannon fodder in an illegal war against Ukraine." The US would continue to monitor the alliance surrounding growing anxieties. The alliance signed by Putin and Kim states: "In case any one of the two sides is put in a state of war by an armed invasion from an individual state or several states, the other side shall provide military and other assistance with all means in its possession without delay." Allies US, Japan and South Korea have already expressed "grave concern" about the military pact. Pyongyang in return has hit out at the US for sending arms to Ukraine. A former Russian MP told the Express that North Korea is an important bridge between the Kremlin and China, allowing Beijing to transfer military equipment to Moscow without falling foul of Western sanctions. Ilya Ponomarev explained: "North Korea is one of key Russian partners and the meaning of the rationale behind them becoming such a partner is because they are acting as a bridge between China and Russia." "Essentially all this military equipment that is supposed to be delivered from North Korea once was developed for North Koreans by the Chinese. China is cautious not to get under secondary sanctions by the United States, but North Korea is not in danger." "So there is no problem for Chinese to assist North Koreans and then North Koreans to make trade with Russia and benefit from this both financially and in terms of military development." Putin Summons INDIAN PM Modi to Russia
Modis' balancing act as he meets Putin in Moscow Putins' Hypersonic Missiles BLOWS Up Childrens' Hospital in Kyiv BBC 9 JUL 2024 ![]() THE WORLD IS WATCHING Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is being keenly watched by his Western allies as he meets Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow on his first foreign trip since he returned to office for a third term in June. Mr Modi landed on Monday, just hours after Russian bombing killed at least 41 people in Ukraine, including at a children's hospital in Kyiv, sparking a global outcry. Photos from Moscow showed a beaming Mr Modi hugging the Russian president. A video of a smiling Mr Putin calling Mr Modi "my dearest friend" and telling him that he was "delighted to see him" has gone viral in India. Mr Modi's two-day visit - his first to the Kremlin since 2019 - coincides with a Nato summit in Washington, where the 2022 invasion will be a major theme. India, a key global economy, has close ties with both Russia and the US and its partners and officials in Delhi are playing down questions over the timing of Mr Modi's trip. They say the annual summit is part of a long-standing strategic partnership and its scheduling has nothing to do with the Nato summit. But a sour note has been struck with the US expressing concern. Mr Miller also said the US had raised concerns with India regarding its relationship with Russia. "We would urge India, as we do any country when it engages with Russia, to make clear that any resolution to the conflict in Ukraine needs to be one that respects the UN charter, that respects Ukraine's territorial integrity, Ukraine's sovereignty," he said at a press briefing on Monday. Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky went further - and did not mince his words, external. "It is a huge disappointment and a devastating blow to peace efforts to see the leader of the world's largest democracy hug the world's most bloody criminal in Moscow on such a day," he posted on X (formerly Twitter) late on Monday. The Nato summit in Washington, which begins on Tuesday, is being held to mark the 75th anniversary of the Western defence grouping which was mainly formed as a bulwark against the then Soviet Union after World War Two. Nato countries have been vehemently opposed to Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine, while India and Mr Modi have refrained from any explicit criticism of President Putin except calling for dialogue and diplomacy to resolve the conflict. As Western nations try to isolate Moscow by imposing sanctions, President Putin has been having summit-level meetings with leaders of key nations like China, India, Turkey and others. ![]() Some are now asking whether Mr Modi's presence in Moscow could be to Mr Putin's advantage. Is the message India is sending out playing into the hands of Russia? Indian PM Makes Statement on War in Ukraine During Talks With Putin ![]() THE EYES SAY IT ALL... Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is on a two-day visit to Russia, made a direct call for an end to the war in Ukraine. In addition, during his meeting with Putin, he discussed the return home of Indians who are participating in Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine This was reported by the Indian TV channel NDTV. According to the report, Modi allegedly made a direct call to end the war in Ukraine, which has been going on for over two years. During an informal meeting with Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin at his official residence in Moscow, Prime Minister Modi told him that it was impossible to find a solution on the battlefield. "India has always called for respect for the UN Charter, including territorial integrity and sovereignty. There is no solution on the battlefield. Dialogue and diplomacy are the way forward," Prime Minister Modi allegedly told Putin during the dinner. Media reported that Russia has allegedly promised to discharge and return home Indians participating in the war against Ukraine Indians who are participating in Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine will be discharged from service and returned home. In total, about 20 Indian citizens have been recruited for the war against Ukraine, NDTV reported. Putin Humiliated as Prisoners Freed to Fight in Ukraine War Go AWOL At First Chance
Russian criminals including murderers who were freed to fight in the Ukraine war have fled along with their commander shortly before they were due to go to the frontline Russias' Medvedev Send Horrific Warning to Released Prisoners That Fled Telling Them to 'HIDE & Disguise Themselves' MailOnline 5 AUG 2024 ![]() ![]() Russian murderers and violent criminals freed from jail by Vladimir Putin to fight in the Ukraine war have gone on the run. ![]() 'Let the traitors now feverishly select new names,' Medvedev said *They fled a military training ground in the Belgorod region days before they were due to go to the frontline as “cannon fodder”.* Astonishingly their commander Yevgeny Zarubin - in charge of their training - mutinied with them after positing a tearful video warning of the carnage facing his troops. A source told ASTRA news outlet of the search for Zarubi: “We will put him on the federal wanted list. "We don't know what happened. We can't find his weapon yet. Accordingly, we are looking for him as an especially dangerous person." The escapees are feared to be armed with military weapons, and a hunt is underway. It is thought that their breakout was carefully planned and a source has said: “This would be a farce if it wasn’t so serious."* Putin has ordered the emptying of jails so convicts - in exchange for pardons - serve in the war but this time the ploy has gone badly wrong. ![]() At least nine dangerous criminals have escaped. They include murderer Alexey Gryazyutin, 46, from Primorsky region, who killed a driver after he refused to hand over his car. Brutal killer Denis Mustyakov, from Ulyanovsk, is also on the run, as is Eduard Arutunyan, from St Petersburg, who stole cash from bank accounts. Roman Ser, 36, also from Ulyanovsk, was convicted of causing grievous bodily harm, as was Aleksandr Ivanov, 40. And the escapees include Zarubin, 35, commander of their Storm detachment of Russian convict fighters who was supposed to be training the men. In tears, and appearing a broken man, he asked for forgiveness from relatives of those who did not return alive previously. “For those who are asking for their fighters, for their husbands, fathers, sons, we got out in a group of 30 people, not all of us got out,” he said. “Out of 46 people, I got 30 out,” he said. "Many brothers fell - killed and wounded. I myself am wounded. Forgive me. Forgive me, those I did not save.” All vanished from a training ground in Korochansky district. Zarubin made his views known on Putin’s war recently in a video where he said in a video that his Storm detachment, 138th brigade, had lost 16 out of 46 people. Ukraines' New F-16 Fighter Jets SOAR Overhead in First Mission to Defend Against Putins' Attacks
Images of Ukraines' new F-16s and their weapons hint at what US-made fighter jets may start doing against the Russians Russia Declares Federal-Level Emergency in Kursk Region After Hundreds of Ukrainian Troops Attack MailOnline 10 AUG 2024 ![]() Ukraines' New F-16 Fighter Jets SOAR Overhead ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Ukraine ambushes Russian convoy in Kursk as Kremlin declares emergency Video circulated by Russian military bloggers shows destroyed vehicles on the E38 east-west highway Ukrainian forces staged an overnight ambush on a Russian convoy 25 miles inside the international border in Russia’s Kursk province, as the Kremlin declared a federal emergency and said it was transferring extra forces to try to snuff out a four-day incursion that has badly damaged its credibility. A video circulated by Russian military bloggers showed a destroyed convoy, with bodies just visible inside some trucks, on the E38 east-west highway at Oktyabrskoe, a location far deeper inside Russia than any previously confirmed fighting since Ukraine’s forces crossed the border on Tuesday. Commentators said the attack, reminiscent of Ukrainian attacks on Russian troops besieging Kyiv in the first weeks of the war, demonstrated an effective hit-and-run strategy, but the incursion appeared likely to draw an escalating response from the Kremlin, and its overall outcome remains profoundly uncertain. Russias’ defence ministry said at lunchtime that it was transferring military reserves to the Kursk region, according to the Interfax news agency, including Grad rockets, artillery and tanks. A video released by Zvezda, official Russian military media, showed a convoy of lorries carrying armoured vehicles down a highway. Alexei Smirnov, the acting governor of Kursk oblast, said Moscow had declared a state of federal emergency in the morning and he urged residents to “stay calm and keep up your fighting spirit, support each other, do not give in to panic and despondency”. So far 3,000 Russian civilians have been evacuated away from the fighting. Meanwhile, 14 Ukrainians were reported killed and 43 injured after a Russian missile struck a supermarket during the day in the Ukrainian town of Kostiantynivka, about 8 miles from the eastern frontline in Donetsk. “Russian terrorists hit an ordinary supermarket and a post office. There are people under the rubble,” the Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelenskiy, said. Ukraine was able to burst through a lightly defended Kursk border on Tuesday morning with several hundred troops, according to Russia. Ukraine’s forces have engaged in fast-moving manoeuvre warfare, a type of combat that has rarely been seen during the war in Ukraine, which has been largely dominated by fortified trenches and heavy mining, preventing breakthroughs. ![]() KYIV, Ukraine — Russia declares a Federal-Level Emergency in the Kursk region following a large-scale incursion from Ukraine and sent reinforcements there on Friday, four days after hundreds of Ukrainian troops poured across the border in what appeared to be Kyivs’ biggest attack on Russian soil since the war began. 'Ukraine Has Just Humiliated Putin. Long May It Last Fierce fighting has continued inside Russia as Ukrainian troops tried to seize more territory and used kamikaze drones to blow up a Russian pontoon bridge across a strategic river crossing. Satellite images showed that the temporary bridge on Tuesday had disappeared and there were large puffs of grey smoke. Russian forces built the pontoon between the villages of Zvannoe and Glushkovo after Ukrainian missiles destroyed three bridges across the Seym River. Ukrainian forces are trying to expand their bridgehead in the Kursk region, after a surprise incursion two weeks ago. An estimated 2,000 to 3,000 Russian conscripts are now stuck in a pocket south of the river in the Glushkovsky district. Some civilians have escaped the area on small boats. On Tuesday, the Ukrainian army reportedly captured another Russian village, Martynovka. Video also emerged of Ukrainian soldiers taking part in an intense firefight in the hamlet of Malaya Loknya, on a nearby part of the frontline. They fired from a Marder infantry fighting vehicle at Russian soldiers. Several houses were in flames. Speaking on Monday, Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelenskiy, said his forces controlled more than 1,250 sq km of “enemy territory”, in and around the Russian border town of Sudzha. The buffer zone now includes 92 settlements, seized as part of what he said was a “defensive operation”. Starmer to Leave US Without Approval For Storm Shadow Strikes by Ukraine

After the meeting, Sir Keir said the pair had come to a ?strong position? but suggested a final decision on Storm Shadow had been deferred to the UN General Assembly at the end of the month. ?Today was about having a chance to talk not just about a particular step or tactic, but the strategy in relation to Ukraine,? he said. Ukraine holds Western-supplied weapons, but has so far been prevented from using them in Russian territory due to concerns about escalating the ongoing conflict. Those weapons include Storm Shadow missiles provided by the UK last year. What is a Storm Shadow Missile? The Storm Shadow cruise missile is fired from aircraft and has a range of more than 155 miles, according to the manufacturer. Powered by a turbo-jet engine, the 1,300kg Storm Shadow travels at speeds of more than 600mph, is just over five metres long and has a wingspan of three metres. After launch, the weapon, equipped with its own navigation system, descends to a low altitude to avoid detection before locking on to its target using an infra-red seeker. On final approach, the missile climbs to a higher altitude to maximise its chances of hitting the target. On impact, it penetrates the target before a delayed fuse detonates the main warhead. Storm Shadow missiles have been used by British and French air forces in the Gulf, Iraq and Libya. Alarm in UK and US Over Iran-Russia Nuclear Deal
Iran has sent ballistic missiles to Russia in a 'dramatic escalation US president Joe Biden and British PM Keir Starmer fear secret arms link-up amid talks in Washington over Ukraine BBC 16 SEP 2024 ![]() Keir Starmer meets with Joe Biden at White House as Putin warns Nato against letting Ukraine send long-range missiles Britain and the US have raised fears that Russia has shared nuclear secrets with Iran in return for Tehran supplying Moscow with ballistic missiles to bomb Ukraine. During their summit in Washington DC on Friday, Keir Starmer and US president Joe Biden acknowledged that the two countries were tightening military cooperation at a time when Iran is in the process of enriching enough uranium to complete its long-held goal to build a nuclear bomb. British sources indicated that concerns were aired about Iran?s trade for nuclear technology, part of a deepening alliance between Tehran and Moscow. On Tuesday last week, Antony Blinken, the US secretary of state, made a similar warning on a visit to London for a summit with his British counterpart, David Lammy, though it received little attention, as the focus then was the US announcement of Iran?s missile supply to Moscow. ?For its part, Russia is sharing technology that Iran seeks ? this is a two-way street ? including on nuclear issues as well as some space information,? Blinken said, accusing the two countries of engaging in destabilising activities that sow ?even greater insecurity? around the world. Britain, France and Germany jointly warned last week that Iran?s stockpile of highly enriched uranium had ?continued to grow significantly, without any credible civilian justification? and that it had accumulated four ?significant quantities? that each could be used to make a nuclear bomb. But it is not clear how much technical knowhow Tehran has to build a nuclear weapon at this stage, or how quickly it could do so. Working with experienced Russian specialists or using Russian knowledge would help speed up the manufacturing process, however ? though Iran denies that it is trying to make a nuclear bomb. |

Cannibal Killer Hailed Russian War Hero Allowed Home From Front a Free Man by Putin
Russian Cannibal Freed After Fighting in War AP 7 OCT 2024 ![]() A photo of Dmitry Malyshev, 36, pictured with rapist Alexander Maslennikov A cannibal killer hailed a Russian war hero has been allowed home from the frontline as Vladimir Putin annuls the remaining 17 years of his sentence. There is fear in a village near Volgograd after evil Dmitry Malyshev, 36, came home wounded from the conflict. He had been jailed for frying the heart of one of the three men he killed, which he seasoned with herbs and cooked with vegetables before eating. He filmed his sickening dismemberment of the victim, a migrant, aged 46, as well as the cooking and eating of his human meal. Earlier he had gunned down two businessmen with a machine gun. Malyshev was jailed for 25 years for murder of two people with particular cruelty as part of a criminal gang, banditry, theft and illegal trafficking of weapons and ammunition, preparation for the murder of police officers, robbery and eating the heart of the last [third] victim?. But he was freed to fight for Putin in the war under a scheme which has allowed murderers and rapists along with other hardened criminals to fight in the bloody war unleashed by the dictator. He took up arms for a special Defence Ministry unit called Storm V. Now he is back in home village Rakhinka, revealed v1 media. Village administrator head Fyodor Kadovba said: ?I spoke with him personally.? He had war wounds to his jaw and hand, and will only go back to fight if he recovers sufficiently. The day before yesterday I saw him in a shop, and we said hello, said Kadovba. The Kremlin requires all freed prisoners who fought in the war to be treated as heroes who are part of the ?new elite of Russia. A new picture of the cannibal shows him wearing sunglasses, relaxing with a drink by a swimming pool which is seen in the reflection. ![]() During a crime reconstruction Malyshev told investigators details of his cannibalism. I hit him several times on the head with a nail gun and cut out his heart, he said. I reached in with my hand and pulled out the heart I sliced it here, the heart's on the table Just sliced it. Then I put it in a frying pan and started frying it.Then I ate it. Well, well, well, we're frying human flesh. Here we have a heart. He told how he added the onions and the seasoning. Now I'm gonna stir it in. It's going to be ******* awesome. *A comment on the story on his release said: I advise everyone to print out his photo and carry it with you just in case you suddenly find yourself on a bench next to him. *Another read: I wonder who he'll eat next time At the front, Malyshev is known to have become close to another freed convict, rapist and killer Alexander Maslennikov, 38. *He used an axe and a meat grinder to cut up and mince the bodies of two women he invited to his flat for a pizza, before feeding human flesh to the dogs. They wanted to preserve the traditional values of Russia by fighting for Putin, said Malyshev. *Hundreds of convicts released to fight in the war have been rearrested after committing new crimes when they return home after serving in the army. Maslennikov, a convicted rapist, was jailed for 23 years for killing two women sales assistants Daria Labutina, 29, and Olga Shaposhnikova, 28. Putin released him from jail 18-and-a-half years early. North Korea Sending 10,000 Troops to Russia to Fight in Ukraine
Russian navy ships transferred 1,500 North Korean special operation forces to the Russian port city of Vladivostok from October 8 to October 13, according to South Koreas NIS MailOnline 20 OCT 2024 ![]() ![]() ![]() North Korea has dispatched troops to support Russias war against Ukraine - a development that intensify a standoff between Kim Jong-uns country and the West. Satellite images show Kim Jong-uns troops dispatched to Ukraine frontline South Koreas National Intelligence Service said in a statement that Russian navy ships transferred 1,500 North Korean special operation forces to the Russian port city of Vladivostok from October 8 to October 13. It said more North Korean troops are expected to be sent to Russia soon. The North Korean soldiers deployed in Russia have been given Russian military uniforms, weapons and forged identification documents, the NIS said. It said they are currently staying at military bases in Vladivostok and other Russian sites such as Ussuriysk, Khabarovsk and Blagoveshchensk, and that they will likely be deployed to battle grounds after completing their adaptation training. The NIS posted on its website satellite and other photos showing what it calls Russian navy ship movements near a North Korean port and suspected North Korean mass gatherings in Ussuriysk and Khabarovsk in the past week. South Korean media, citing the NIS, reported that North Korea has decided to dispatch a total of 12,000 troops formed into four brigades to Russia. The NIS did not immediately confirm the reports. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LHjKMEywquQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dK4nxVKoumk |

Inexperienced, Poorly Trained And Underfed: The North Korean Troops Heading to Ukraine
Up to 11,000 North Koreans in Kursk, Say Pentagon and Zelenskyy Kim Jong-un has called his army the strongest in the world but they are vulnerable to malnutrition, and none have seen combat or know the terrain in Russias war The Guardian 5 NOV 2024 ![]() North Korean leader Kim Jong-un inspects a military training base in March 2024. Thousands of troops from North Korea are massing near the Ukrainian border, but their military worth has been questioned by some experts ![]() Europe not doing enough about foreign power taking part, says Ukrainian president; Sloviansk woman gets 15 years jail for treasonous aid to Russians. Depending on whom you ask, they are the boost that Russian forces need to make a significant breakthrough in Ukraine, or they are simple cannon fodder, destined for repatriation in body bags. After weeks of speculation, Nato and the Pentagon have confirmed that around 11,000 North Korean troops are in Russia, with most massing near Ukraines border in Kursk, where the Kremlins forces have struggled to repel a Ukrainian incursion. US officials believe the North Koreans could enter the conflict within days, as the Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, pleads with his countrys allies to stop watching while his troops prepare to confront a new and untested enemy. It is too early to say how the Russian-North Korean blood alliance will change the dynamics of the conflict. The US secretary of state, Antony Blinken, said Russia had been training them to use artillery, drones and basic infantry operations, including trench clearing, indicating that they fully intend to use these forces in frontline operations. But not one of the young men drafted from Kim Jong-uns regular army of around 1 million the strongest in the world, according to Kim have seen combat. And they will be fighting on unfamiliar territory, with new weapons and in uniforms bearing the flag of a country Russia they know little about. While their arrival relieves pressure on Russia to draft more of its own citizens, with the US estimating that more than 500,000 Russians have been killed or wounded since the war started in February 2022 experts believe the military dividends for the Kremlin will be limited. North Korean pilots flew during the Vietnam war, and the country provided military advisers and air force personnel to Egypt during the Yom Kippur War in 1973, as well as military aid to Syria. But North Korea has not fought in a major war since the early 1950s, when a three-year conflict between North and South ended in an uncomfortable truce but not a peace treaty. President Biden Allows Ukraine to Use Long-Range Missiles to Strike Inside Russia -Britain May Authorise Use of Storm Shadows
US President signs off on deploying ATACMS rockets in Kursk... Telegraph/BBC 17 NOV 2024 ![]() Bidens wonderful SWANSONG.. ![]() ![]() ![]() Biden lifts ban on Ukraine using US missiles to strike inside Russia... Trump will NOT be pleased.. The decision is a major U.S. policy shift and comes as Biden is about to leave office and incoming President-elect Donald Trump has said he would bring about a swift end to the war and has expressed skepticism over continued support by the United States. The weapons are likely to be used in response to North Koreas decision to send thousands of troops to Russia in support of Russian President Vladimir Putins invasion of Ukraine, according to one of the people. The official and the people familiar with the matter were not authorized to discuss the decision publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and many of his Western supporters have been pressing Biden for months to allow Ukraine to strike military targets inside Russia with Western-supplied missiles, saying the U.S. ban had made it impossible for Ukraine to try to stop Russian attacks on its cities and electrical grids. Some supporters have argued that this and other U.S. constraints could cost Ukraine the war. The debate has become a source of disagreement among Ukraines NATO allies. Biden had remained opposed, determined to hold the line against any escalation that he felt could draw the U.S. and other NATO members into direct conflict with Russia. But North Korea has deployed thousands of troops to Russia to help Moscow try to claw back land in the Kursk border region that Ukraine seized this year. The introduction of North Korean troops to the conflict comes as Moscow has seen a favorable shift in momentum. ![]() Trump had signaled that he could push Ukraine to agree to give up some land seized by Russia to find an end to the conflict.... ![]() https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h62leWutzHc RELATED; I Was a North Korean Soldier - Our troops DON'T want to fight Ukraine and aren't even getting paid https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WmfYKEumezs |

The strike conducted by Ukraine last week marked the first time a Storm Shadow missile was launched into Russia, and followed a readjustment of western "red lines" in the conflict AP 24 NOV 2024 ![]() A Storm Shadow strike launched by Ukraine last week killed hundreds of North Korean Troopers and a Russian general, it has been claimed. ![]() Lt-Gen Valery Solodchuk reportedly died in the strike A Russian general and 18 Putin officers were reported lost, with a further 18 reportedly wounded. Earlier it was reported that a Kim Jong Un general had been wounded - as he commanded troops backing Vladimir Putin?s invasion. The toll relates to the 20 November attack by Ukraine - the first to use UK Storm Shadow missiles deep inside Russia. It was known the pinpoint missiles had hit a Putin command post and military facility, and the strike reportedly killed Lt-Gen Valery Solodchuk. Russian authorities have not confirmed losses which would be grievous to both Russia and North Korea if confirmed, and the reports are yet to be independently verified. The Storm Shadows were targeted on 20 November at an underground military facility in Maryino on a Tsarist estate, in the Kursk region. New footage shows a Storm Shadow missile involved in the attack as it flew towards its target, it is claimed. If true, the losses may explain Vladimir Putins furious reaction - firing a new Oreshnik hypersonic missile at Dnipro, and his public boasts he had a new super weapon which was unstoppable by the West. ![]() The missile hit Russia on November 20 Moscow also threatened that use by Ukraine of NATO-supplied missiles meant Putin could legitimately hit back with nuclear missiles. The Russian officers reportedly killed are from Putins Southern and Eastern Military Districts. US-based Global Defense Corp reported that 500 North Korean soldiers were killed alongside Russian officers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jyU30JPTnFE |

Zelensky: I Will Give Up Ukrainian Territory to Russia to Achieve Peace Germanys Olaf Scholz Arrives in Kyiv
President says for first time that his country could cede land temporarily in exchange for protection of a Nato umbrella Ukrainian president presses idea of Nato umbrella for areas under Kyivs control while Kaja Kallas says it should not be ruled out. The Guardian 2 DEC 2024 ![]() Germanys president, Olaf Scholz, arrived in Kyiv on Monday morning for a surprise visit. Der Spiegel reported Scholz as saying he wanted to express his solidarity and promised Germany would remain Ukraines strongest supporter in Europe. He would meet with Ukraines president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and ?650m in further military equipment be delivered in December. At least two people were killed and others injured in a Russian attack on Ternopil in western Ukraine, reports said on Monday morning. The city mayor, Serhiy Nadal, said a drone hit the fifth floor of an apartment building, starting a fire. Ukraines air force said on Monday that Russia launched 110 drone attacks the previous night. The air force shot down 52 while 50 were lost, likely due to electronic warfare, it said. One remained in Ukrainian airspace and six headed toward Belarus and Russia. Ukraines president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, said on Sunday there was still time to convince sceptics that Ukraine should be invited to join Nato. An invitation for Ukraine to join Nato is a necessary thing for our survival, Zelenskyy said. On Friday, Zelenskyy said that Nato protection for the free part of Ukraine could end the hot war, leaving Kyiv to regain the Russian-occupied areas through diplomatic means. Zelenskyy said on Sunday that his country needed security guarantees from Nato and more weapons to defend itself before any talks with Russia. He called for steps forward with Nato and a good number of long-distance weapons for Ukraine to defend itself. Only when we have all these items and we are strong, after that, we have to make the very important agenda of meeting with one or another of the killers, he said, adding that the EU and Nato should be involved in any negotiations. Zelenskyy made the comments after meeting the EUs new top diplomat, Kaja Kallas, and the EU council chief, Antonio Costa, who were visiting Kyiv as a show of support on their first day in office. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SxL410r2mwc |

Ukraine Launches MAJOR Drone And Missile Attack On Russia- BiGGEST Attack Yet
Ukraine Launches British Storm Shadows in Largest Attack on Russian Military Facilities Ukraines Newest Drones Use Built-In SHOTGUNS to Down Russian Targets One by One Telegraph 15 JAN 2025 An oil refinery on fire in Saratov after Ukraine launched strikes on Russia military facilities ![]() Ukraine shows off laser drone that can irradiate target from more than 3 miles away Ukraine has launched a significant drone and missile attack on Russia, escalating tensions in the ongoing conflict. The strike targeted key military sites, marking a new phase in the war. Ukraine used six British Storm Shadow missiles and US-made Atacms tactical ballistic missiles in what Kyiv described as its largest attack on Russian military facilities. Kyivs forces also launched at least 146 drones into Russia, targeting locations nearly 700 miles deep into the country. The attacks, which mostly targeted southwestern Russia, were the latest attempt by Kyiv?s forces to hit Russia in its own backyard despite facing increasing battlefield pressures along the Ukrainian front line. Moscow, confirming the massive attack, vowed a response. The actions of the Kyiv regime, supported by its Western curators, will not go unanswered, the Russian defence ministry said. Kyivs military struck a chemical plant in Bryansk, south-west Russia, which is known for producing Russian artillery, rocket launch systems, and cruise missiles, according to the Ukrainian ministry of defence. The Kristall oil plant and a refinery in Saratov were also struck, a spokesman said. The destruction of Russian military facilities continues. Glory to Ukraine, they added. The huge attack forced six Russian cities to restrict their airspace on Tuesday morning, according to the countrys aviation agency. This included the cities of Saratov and Engels, where the oil refineries were struck. Roman V. Busargin, the governor of the Saratov region, confirmed in a post on Telegram that industrial plants in the two cities had been damaged. Today Saratov and Engels were subjected to a massive UAV unmanned aerial vehicle attack, he said, adding that air defences had eliminated a large number of targets It was the second time in a week that Ukraine targeted Engels, which is home to an airfield which hosts Russias long-range, nuclear bombers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eUU9eVFyk3Q https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wm4BQEoRgBs ![]() |

Putin in Secret Break at Mountain Hideout To Bathe in BLOOD of Siberian Stags
WARNING DISTRESSING CONTENT - Vladimir Putin has headed off to a his secret mountain retreat in Siberia where he is said to have spent the week bathing in the blood of young deer AP 20 JAN 2025 ![]() Putins secret getaway in the Altai Mountains ![]() ![]() Vladimir Putin has headed off for a secret break this week to bathe in the blood of young deer, it is reported. The 72-year-old dictator is said to be fanatical about using ancient remedies to prolong his life and give him strength and it appears as though he headed off to his bolthole mountain palace for one of his favourite treatments. His Flying Kremlin Ilyushin 96-300 - equivalent to Air Force One - disappeared from radar screens over the remote Altai region in Siberia, after a flight from Moscow on Monday, New Years Eve under the calendar used by the Russian Orthodox Church. Two days later the aircraft reappeared in roughly the same location, this time flying back to Moscow. Telegram channel More Than Fact suggested Putin may have spent time at his sprawling Altai Courtyard retreat in neighbouring region Altai Republic. This Siberian palace is reported to have a vast underground hi-tech bunker with its own power station from which he could control Russian in the event of nuclear war. It was reported last year that sufficient quantities of food had been stashed here to feed up to 300 people for several years The eerie complex includes a maral deer farm where antlers are sawn off terrified Siberian stags so Putin and his inner circle can take blood baths, according to previous investigative reports. The ancient tradition is seen as a testosterone-driven elixir to improve male potency, but also as bringing multiple health benefits and slowing the ageing process. Putins Altai Courtyard recreation centre is where he takes baths in the blood of young maral [deer] to improve his health, prolong his life, and give him strength. The usual season for fresh blood bathing is in late spring or early summer. Putins Siberian getaway, some 135 miles south of the Altai Republic regional capital Gorno-Altaisk and 2,375 miles east of Moscow, was in the headlines last year when a mysterious fire destroyed a building on the compound. The republic shares borders with China, Mongolia and Kazakhstan. |

Belarus President DICTATOR Lukashenko ''Wins'' Seventh Term in Election Rejected as SHAM
Putin Ally Comfortably Wins Vote That EU and US Said Was NOT Fair The Guardian 28 JAN 2025 ![]() Belarusian dissident fighters in Ukraine risk sadistic torture by Lukashenko regime ![]() SADISTIC Lukashenko who has been in power in Belarus since 1994, wins seventh term as Belarus president in election rejected as sham... Lukashenko says he has '''no regrets''' about Belarus helping Russia to invade Ukraine Alexander Lukashenko has secured a seventh five-year term as Belarusian president in a resounding election victory that western governments have rejected as a sham. Lukashenko won 86.8% of the vote in Sundays election, according to results published by the countrys electoral commission. You can congratulate the Republic of Belarus, we have elected a president, the commissions head Igor Karpenko told a press conference in the early hours of Monday, according to Russian state media. The US and the EU said in the run-up to the election that it could not be free or fair because independent media are banned in Belarus and all leading opposition figures have been jailed or forced to flee abroad. The close ally of the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, had earlier defended his jailing of dissidents and declared: '''I don?t give a damn about the west.''' Kaja Kallas, the EUs top diplomat, on Saturday called the election a '''sham''' and said Lukashenko doesn?t have any legitimacy. The electoral commission said turnout was 85.7% in the election, in which 6.9 million people were eligible to vote. An earlier exit poll broadcast on state television projected that Lukashenko would take 87.6% of the vote. The people of Belarus had no choice. It is a bitter day for all those who long for freedom and democracy, said Annalena Baerbock, the German foreign minister. The Polish foreign minister Radoslaw Sikorski expressed mock surprise that only 87.6% of the electorate appeared to have backed Lukashenko. '''Will the rest fit inside the prisons?''' he posted. Lukashenko ? a 70-year-old former collective farm boss ? suppressed mass protests against his rule in 2020 and allowed Moscow to use Belarusian territory to invade Ukraine in 2022. The opposition and the west said Lukashenko had rigged the last presidential vote and authorities cracked down on demonstrations, with more than a thousand people still jailed. All of Lukashenkos political opponents are either in prison ? some held incommunicado ? or in exile along with tens of thousands of Belarusians who have fled since 2020. ![]() SADISTIC Lukashenko said on Sunday that his opponents were behind bars or abroad out of choice. Some chose prison, some exile,he said. If it is prison then its those who opened their mouths too widely. Most people in Belarus have only distant memories of life in the landlocked country before Lukashenko, who was 39 when he won the first national election in Belarus since it gained independence from the Soviet Union.

Ukraine War Briefing: Trump DEMANDS Rare Earth Metals, Key Elements Used in Electronics, From Kyiv in Exchange For Aid
US paused weapon shipments into Ukraine; Russian forces continue to gain ground as Ukraine struggles with manpower. The Guardian 5 FEB 2025 ![]() Trump says he wants to negotiate an agreement with Ukraine in which Kyiv guarantees supplies of rare earth metals, key elements used in electronics, in exchange for aid. ![]() We are telling Ukraine they have very valuable rare earths Trump said on Monday. We are looking to do a deal with Ukraine where theyre going to secure what we are giving them with their rare earths and other things. Trump, speaking to reporters at the White House, said Ukraine was willing, adding that he wants equalisation from Ukraine for Washingtons close to $300bn in support. German chancellor Olaf Scholz criticised Trumps demand for quid pro quo, saying it would be very selfish, very self-centred. Such resources would be better used for the countrys reconstruction after the war, Scholz said after meeting with fellow EU leaders in Brussels. US shipments of weapons into Ukraine were briefly paused in recent days before resuming over the weekend as the Trump administration debated its policy towards Kyiv, Reuters reports, citing four people briefed on the matter. Shipments restarted after the White House pulled back on its initial assessment to stop all aid to Ukraine, two of the sources said. Halting the flow of US weapons would hinder Kyivs ability to fight, and put it in a less advantaged negotiation position in peace talks. The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment. A dire shortage of infantry troops and supply routes coming under Russian drone attacks are conspiring against Ukrainian forces in Pokrovsk, where decisive battles in the nearly three-year war are playing out ? and time is running short. Ukrainian troops are losing ground around the crucial supply hub, which lies at the confluence of multiple highways leading to key cities in the eastern Donetsk region as well as an important railway station. Moscow is set on capturing as much territory as possible as the Trump administration is pushing for negotiations to end the war. Ukrainian soldiers in Pokrovsk said that Russian forces switched tactics in recent weeks, attacking their flanks instead of going head-on to form a pincer movement around the city. With Russians in control of dominant heights, Ukrainian supply routes are now within their range. Heavy fog in recent days prevented Ukrainian soldiers from effectively using surveillance drones, allowing Russians to consolidate and take more territory. Meanwhile, Ukrainian commanders say they do not have enough reserves to sustain defence lines and that new infantry units are failing to execute operations. Russian forces advanced 430 square kilometres (166 square miles) into Ukrainian territory in January and are headed towards the logistics hub of Pokrovsk, according to an AFP analysis of data from the US-based Institute for the Study of War (ISW). This marks a slight slowdown compared to previous months, after a record advance of 725 square kilometres in November and 476 square kilometres in December. The UN on Monday said that Russian forces have been killing more captured Ukrainian soldiers over recent months ![]() Funeral of James Wilton, 18, from Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, who travelled to join international fighters in Ukraine. Sending troops is on the table if Russia does not negotiate in good faith and if Putin does not agree to a deal that guarantees Kyivs long-term independence. There are economic tools of leverage, there are of course military tools of leverage, he said. I think there is a deal that is going to come out of this thats going to shock a lot of people. Ukraine WAR Day 1,090 : Zelenskyy Waves Away TRUMPs BLACKMAIL Bid For Critical Minerals
-TRUMPs Quick Fix For Ukraine is a DIRTY Deal & What Comes Next is Even More Radical President Zelenskyy says deal did NOT guarantee Ukraines security & CHAOS as US and Russia meet in Riyadh and Zelenskyy AGAIN NOT included Europe WARNS That UNHINGED Trumps Radical Plans For Ukraine & Nuclear Deal With Russia And China Are DANGEROUS And Could Lay The Foundation For a New World Order AP 17 FEB 2025 ![]() Volodymyr Zelenskyy appeared to rebuff Donald Trumps first attempt at cornering Ukraines critical mineral deposits to PAY BACK the US millions spent fighting Russia ![]() Trump is handing Putin a gift from the gods & likens himself to Napoleon by posting '''He who saves his country does not violate any laws'''.. quote attributed to French emperor Trump and Putins Ending is NOT One Ukraine Wants & Few Believe Can Last... It is the ending no one in Ukraine wanted, and few believe can last. Kyiv will surrender 20 per cent of its land to Russia as it is partitioned along an 800-mile, heavily militarised border. The peace will be secured by Vladimir Putins word as a gentleman, and a multinational force with no American involvement. Neither America nor Nato at large will be obliged to defend Ukraine should Russia attack again. The obvious risks of such a settlement are one thing. But what has shocked European governments is that Donald Trump and Putin appear to have hammered it out without talking to anyone else. Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky only met vice-president JD Vance as an afterthought, on Friday. But it was clear the real action had taken place between two presidents Trump and Putin -elsewhere. '''Bastards''' one British defence official said of the Americans on hearing of the purported plan. Nonetheless, it need not be a disaster for Ukraine. There are both risks and opportunities, says Pavlo Klimkin, who was the Ukrainian foreign minister when the Minsk accords ending Russias first invasion in 2014 and 2015 were negotiated. But Minsk was just about buying time, he notes. This has even more risks than Minsk. As I understand, for Trumps team engaging with Putin is not just about this negotiation process. Its also about trying to decouple the Russians from China, to engage with them on strategic stability and many, many other issues. So there is a risk of multi-layer trade-offs. What Trumps '''Peace''' Looks Like ![]() An end to the war, as laid out by alcoholic Pete Hegseth, the new US defence secretary, looks something like this... A return to Ukraines 2014 borders would be unrealistic, and Russia need not give up anything it has captured. So the implication is a freeze of the front line where it stands. Or more accurately, where it stands when any armistice is eventually signed. So both sides now have an urgent incentive to fight as hard as possible for the next days and weeks and grab what land they can. Assuming neither side achieves a major new breakthrough, the new line of contact would stretch from the mouth of the Dnipro river in the Black Sea, north-east wards to the border between Ukraine and Russia at Kharkiv. There will be haggling over the details. For instance, Ukraine holds some land in Russia itself, in the Kursk region, and may be able to trade this for, say, the sliver of Kharkiv region Russian occupies around Kupiansk. But Moscow will still end up with about 20 percent of Ukraines territory. Army of Europe Needed to Challenge Russia, Says Ukraines President Zelensky https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AKBkWKl2Xhg On top of this, Hegseth made clear, Ukraine would NOT join Nato OR be provided with Natos one for all and all for one guarantee of collective defence in the event it was attacked again....WTF... ![]() ![]() UNHINGED TRUMP Also Proposed JOINT Nuclear Deal With Russia And China to Halve Defense Budgets AND..Trump Pick For FBI, Kash Patel, Took $25K BRIBE For Role in Russia-Linked ANTI-FBI Film https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3pMttgznpeU MORE J.D. Ukrainian Female POWs TORTURED and Raped, Paraded Naked Through The Snow by Russian Troops
Threat of Death Was Always There Four women tell The Telegraph about the campaign of abuse they were subjected to in captivity The Telegraph 22 FEB 2025 ![]() Electrical Cords, Metal Pipes: In Kherson, Signs of Torture Emerge ![]() Valentyna Zubko, a 30-year-old military medic, was captured at the Illich Steel Plant during the siege of Mariupol Ukrainian women taken as prisoners of war are being tortured and humiliated by Russian soldiers in a systematic campaign of abuse, survivors have revealed. Some have been subjected to cruel degradations, including being forced to march naked in the snow and expose themselves to their captors. The Telegraph tracked down four women who agreed to speak out about the months and, in some cases, years they spent in captivity. Their testimonies reveal the brutality with which Moscows forces treat the Ukrainians they have captured, providing evidence of what are almost certainly war crimes. '''They led us to the showers with bags over our heads, where we were forced to undress. We had to walk naked in front of the men and everyone else, bent over, through freezing cold water, said Larysa Kycherenko, 53, who served in Ukraines National Guard. Afterwards, we were forced to sing the Russian anthem while naked. We returned to the cells in tears, utterly distraught, crying and in a state of hysteria? It was inhumane. To them, we were nothing.''' If its hard for men, its even harder for women many of the women werent fighters, she said. Ms Kycherenko, her husband and her 34-year-old son were captured in occupied Mariupol in 2022 after they were betrayed by their neighbours. The three were separated, with Ms Kycherenko spending seven months in captivity, first in a makeshift prison near Donetsk, then Olinevka prison, then a pre-trial detention centre. During her ordeal, Ms Kycherenko was forced to stand for over 12 hours a day, beaten, and psychologically tortured in an apparent violation of the Geneva Conventions. She described being slammed against the wall by a guard and beaten with a metal pole, and then being denied medical treatment for the open wound it left on her leg. We were constantly being told we were fascists, and that if we weren?t shot by our own people during an exchange, someone else would kill us. The threat of death was always there. Since Russia launched its full scale invasion of Ukraine, it has been repeatedly accused of mistreating prisoners of war and Ukrainian civilians. At least 48 detention centres have been identified by the United Nations, while Ukraines Prosecutor General reported that at least nine out of ten POWs returned to the country suffered physical and psychological torture. I was prepared for the possibility that I might die. I had come to terms with it. But when I was told about captivity, that was the first time I cried, said Valentyna Zubko, a 30-year-old military medic who was captured at the Illich Steel Plant during the siege of Mariupol. She spent five-and a half months in captivity across four different prisons. She described being crammed with fifteen others in a cell meant to house two, with only a hole in the middle of the floor as a toilet. Each guard tried to hit us as we walked. We had our heads down and they would force us down even lower. We were beaten badly and the guards seemed to enjoy it. There was no reason they would just beat us for fun. Ms Zubko and her fellow prisoners were fed porridge mixed with water, which she said was barely enough to survive. We were like skeletons, she said. Ms Zubko and several women The Telegraph spoke to reported being given electric shocks by cattle prods and power cables during the repeated interrogations. During interrogations, if I answered in a way they didnt like, they would electrocute me, said Snizhana Vasylivna Ostapenko, 23, a junior sergeant of the 56th Separate Mechanised Brigade who fought in the battles for Mariupol and the Azovstal steel plant. ![]() Russian servicemen inspect an area of the Azovstal steel plant in Mariupol ![]() Bodies of Ukrainian soldiers were placed in plastic bags inside a tunnel at the Illich Steel Plant Horrifying footage appears to show Russian captors castrating a Ukrainian prisoner of war ![]() ![]() |

Putins air forces used Tu-95MS nuclear-capable strategic bombers, causing panic in Kyiv as residents rushed for the metro underground shelters. Explosions were heard in Kyiv, Zhytomyr, and Sumy, as well as in surrounding regions. Drones were also used in the assault by Russia, leaving several people injured. The attacks on Ukraine were reported to continue into the morning. An alert from Warsaws armed forces operation command headquarters said: Attention, due to the activity of long-range aviation of the Russian Federation, striking targets located, in particular, in the west of Ukraine, military aviation has begun to operate in the airspace of Poland. President Volodymyr Zelensky issued a stark warning to European allies that Vladimir Putin is eyeing up five other countries on the continent. The Ukrainian leader revealed that Putin will be emboldened to invade nearby nations should his invasion not be brought to a halt. Speaking at a press conference in Kyiv on Monday, marking the third anniversary of Russias invasion, Zelensky warned European states that had Russian roots or were formerly a part of the Soviet Unions sphere of influence. Zelensky warned Putin could use Russian speaking populations as a pretext for annexation, as he had with Crimea in 2014. He went on to name the countries he viewed at risk as being Estonia, Latvia, Poland, Moldova and Slovakia. When you have Russian speaking people, or their roots, or their families...it's our history, then you are at risk. At the very beginning, they said that they are not occupying our territories, that they are defending Russian speaking people. ![]() TRUMP Breaks With European Allies and Sides With Russia in UN Resolutions on Ukraine https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HFJu1MXbL88 Putin Hints at Potential Deals With US As the US attempts to nail a deal over rare minerals with Ukraine, Vladimir Putin hints that Russia could provide more in this area. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DCOcg5Ii84U .

Trump and Zelenskys White House Meeting Descends Into Shouting Match When Zelenskys REFUSED to Hand Over Ukraines Mineral Rights to US - MAKE A DEAL OR WE'RE OUT
A Degrading Spectacle That HORRIFIED The World: Politicians Worldwide Condemn THUG Trump & J.D. Vance VICIOUS Attack On Zelenskyy In Oval Office BBC 1 MAR 2025 ![]() ![]() The US president, and his number two JD Vance, ganged up on the Ukrainian leader, who was supposed to be in Washington to sign a deal which could ultimately lead to the end of his countrys war with Russia. You're either going to make a deal or we're out, and if we're out, you'll fight it out ALONE. I don't think its going to be pretty, Trump told him. In extraordinary scenes, the pair repeatedly accused Zelenskyy of not being grateful enough to American for the support Ukraine has had during the conflict. At one point, the Ukrainian president was even criticised for not wearing a suit to the meeting. A planned press conference with Zelenskyy and Trump ended up being cancelled as the Ukrainian leader left the White House without signing an agreement which would have given the US access to his countrys natural minerals. The clash came just 24 hours after Trump lavished praise on Keir Starmer in the same spot. A remarkable love-in between the pair saw the PM hand over a letter from King Charles inviting the president to the UK for a second state visit, while Trump also dangled the prospect of a tariff free trade deal between Britain and America. Downing Street was remaining tight-lipped tonight on Trump and Vances row with Zelenskyy, but senior figures in other parties hit out at the US president. Posting on X, shadow justice secretary Robert Jenrick said: I am sickened by that degrading spectacle. And to think the bust of Winston Churchill was in the same room as it unfolded. He would be turning in his grave if he saw that happen. Ukraines people, led by President Zelenskyy, have fought bravely to hold off Putin over the last three years with US and European support. Zelenskyy has shown sincere gratitude for the support offered by his partners. We salute him and the courageous Ukrainians as they fight for freedom against Russian imperialism. Countries can and do disagree, but the West must show a united front to an enemy such as Trump. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j5oCFVBjpzE ![]() Petitions Begin For Trumps State Visit to UK to Be Scrapped -Terrible Idea: Petition to STOP Donald Trumps State Visit to Scotland & UK Snowballs STAY OUT A PETITION to rescind the Kings invitation to Donald Trump to attend an unprecedented second state visit to the UK has garnered tens of thousands of signatures in less than 24 hours. The petitions author said signing up would show how unwelcome the US president truly is. Keir Starmer handed Trump an invitation from the King to come to one of his Scottish properties at a future date. It has sparked outrage, with the Scottish predicting the event will be marked by protests and a great deal of anger The 38 Degrees petition said: This is the same Donald Trump that in recent weeks has buddied up with Putin, cranked up tariffs on trade and slashed aid across the world. Trump WILL Go to HELL ![]() LETTER FROM King Charles For Trumps State Visit '''As you will know this is unprecedented by a US President. That is why I would find it helpful for us to be able to discuss, together, a range of options for location and programme content. In so doing, working together, I know we will further enhance the special relationship between our two countries of which we are both so proud.''' The note was signed Yours Sincerely, Charles Donald Trump is 'Dangerous And Unwell' ![]() |

Trump Cuts Off ALL Military Aid & US Intel Sharing to Ukraine - CIA Confirms -How Long Before Ukraines Frontline Collapses
The US has cut off all intelligence-sharing with Kyiv in a move that could seriously hamper the Ukrainian militarys ability to target Russian forces, the director of the CIA has confirmed.. European Ukraine Air Protection Plan Could Halt Russian Missile Attacks-Europes IRON DOME The Guardian 6 MAR 2025 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Sky Shield proposal drawn up by military experts would be operated separately from NATO and deploy 120 fighter jets Sky Shield, its proponents argue, would be a European-led air protection zone operated separately from Nato to halt Russian cruise missile and drone attacks on cities and infrastructure, potentially operating as part of the truce in the sky proposed by Ukraines president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, this week. It would cover Ukraines three operating nuclear power plants and the cities of Odesa and Lviv, but not the frontline or the east of the country and, according to a newly published paper, it could achieve greater military, political, and socioeconomic impact than 10,000 European ground troops. Supporters include Sir Richard Shirreff, a former British army general and deputy Nato supreme commander at the beginning of the last decade, as well as former Polish president Aleksander Kwaśniewski. Another backer, Gabrielius Landsbergis, a former Lithuanian foreign minister, said in a statement: The implementation of Sky Shield would be an important component of Europes stepping up, guaranteeing Ukraines security effectively and efficiently. Since then the US has halted military aid and curbed intelligence sharing with Kyiv, prompting a rapid realisation in Europe that the continent will have to take the lead in supporting Ukraine while the war continues and by providing security guarantees to the country as part of any peace deal. It is understood Sky Shield has been drawn up by former RAF planners working in conjunction with Ukraines armed forces, and it has been canvassed before European defence ministries. However, there has been no real appetite from European leaders to sanction patrols of Ukrainian skies while the war is ongoing. The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) has revealed what may happen to the frontline war effort after Donald Trumps bombshell decision to halt all military aid funding to Ukraine.
