WWE Hall of Famer Jake "The Snake" Roberts has reportedly been hospitalized after collapsing on a flight to Las Vegas, per PWInsider.com's Mike Johnson. According to Johnson, Roberts is currently in intensive care at a Vegas hospital.

Diamond Dallas Page, who's been spending a lot of time with the former star, tweeted out that Roberts is "conscious but still fading in and out"

Roberts was having a banner year before this news. After spending years away from the company, he appeared on the Jan. 6 edition of "Old School Raw."

As if that wasn't enough, he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame before WrestleMania XXX.

Roberts' comeback was even more special considering he has made no secret of the personal problems he's had to deal with both during and after his in-ring wrestling career, most famously in the Beyond the Mat documentary. Upon making his return to WWE
Quote:

I’d done some bad things. I tried to not keep myself waiting for it. You can’t live for a moment that may not happen. You need to live in the moment. If it hadn’t been for Vince McMahon, I wouldn’t have gone to the rehabs that I went to. The rehabs didn’t work. And the reason they didn’t work is because I wasn’t ready. I hadn’t really found the problem. It wasn’t just my addictions. I went through a lot in my life that scarred me pretty good. I built a wall around myself to the point where nobody knew what was really going on inside of me, including myself.
The 59-year-old added that his friendship with DDP helped to get him out of a rough patch and back to a good state of mind again.

Although "The Snake" didn't have the most illustrious of careers, he's widely acknowledged as one of the best wrestling minds in the history of the business. Between his work on the microphone and in-ring psychology, Roberts connected with the crowd in a way that few before or since have been able to match.
