It was apparent that the 2013 NFL campaign was going to be interesting when we found out that the Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens would be opening the season on the road against the Denver Broncos.

However, we didn't have the full picture of the NFL schedule until now.

The league released the full slate of regular-season contests on Thursday, complete with dates and times for every single matchup.

Baltimore kicks things off against Denver on Thursday, Sept. 5, marking the beginning of a brand new year of football.

Sunday, Sept. 8 is when things start in earnest, as a vast majority of teams will be participating in games that day with the notable exception of the Eagles, Redskins, Texans and Chargers, who will be participating in Monday Night Football’sannual NFL kickoff double-header.

With so many great matchups and interesting scheduling choices, there's sure to be plenty of discussion buzzing about on Twitter and across the web concerning this highly anticipated announcement.

Will the Ravens be able to repeat as champs, or will their offseason of free-agency attrition be too much to overcome? Speaking of Super Bowl XLVII, can the runner-up San Francisco 49ers dust themselves off and make a third straight run to the NFC Championship Game?

Those questions and many, many more will be answered over the duration of the season, but for now we’ll have to be content with speculation and analysis of the schedule itself.

The opening kickoff is quite a long way off, but with the draft coming up and practices beginning in just a few weeks, there should be plenty of National Football League news to keep fans entertained.
