The Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon in Rio became deoxygenated after storms, leading to the deaths of thousands of a type of fish called shad. Rio's municipal department of the environment said that since Monday 65 tons of dead fish have been removed from the lake. The lake located in the heart of the city is among the area's many tourist attractions. http://resources2.news.com.au/images...fish-scoop.jpg Municipal workers collect tons of dead fish floating on the waters of the Rodrigo de Freitas lagoon, beside the Corcovado mountain in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It says the situation is improving and that no dead fish were pulled out of the lake yesterday. http://resources0.news.com.au/images...-fish-boat.jpg Municipal workers pick up tons of dead fish floating on the waters of the Rodrigo de Freitas lagoon, beside the Corcovado mountain in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
