Anfield side target White Hart Lane boss.

Harry Redknapp has emerged as a shock target to become Liverpool’s new manager. Standard Sport understands that the Merseyside club are considering making a move for the 65-year-old having sacked Kenny Dalglish last week.
Redknapp is believed to have shot up their wish-list after Frank de Boer, Jurgen Klopp, Didier Deschamps and Brendan Rodgers ruled themselves out of the running.
Liverpool still have some candidates interested in the job, including former Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas, ex-England boss Fabio Capello, Wigan coach Roberto Martinez as well as former Reds manager Rafael Benitez.

This would indeed be a shock. Liverpool have been linked with an ever growing list of potential replacements for axed boss Kenny Dalglish without seemingly moving anywhere nearer to making an appointment. Could Harry Redknapp be the right man for the job, and perhaps more importantly, would the White Hart Lane boss have any interest in making the Anfield move?
Former West Ham, Portsmouth and Southampton boss Redknapp has done a wonderful job at Tottenham, joining the North London club when they were mired in the relegation zone before steering the club to their first top four spot, followed by a run to the Champions League Quarter Finals before repeating the trick last term only to see Chelsea’s win at the Allianz Arena cancel out their efforts.
Given that Liverpool finished some four places, and perhaps more importantly 17 points, below Tottenham would a move to the Merseyside club interest Redknapp?
The 65 year old was hotly tipped to take over as England manager from Fabio Capello, and indeed some speculated that his side’s loss of form half way through the campaign was due in some part to the possibility the boss would leave. However the call never came and Roy Hodgson got the nod so maybe Harry Redknapp will now be considering his options.
END

:crap: I thought old 'harry was after the England job??
