BREAKING: Police Officer Guilty of Killing Ex-Professional Footballer Dalian Atkinson

A police officer has been found guilty of the manslaughter of former Aston Villa and Sheffield Wednesday player Dalian Atkinson.

PC Benjamin Monk tasered Mr Atkinson for 33 seconds, more than six times longer than usual, before kicking him at least twice in the head during a confrontation in August 2016.

He was cleared of Mr Atkinson's murder.

A police officer has been jailed for eight years for the manslaughter of former professional footballer Dalian Atkinson.
PC Benjamin Monk was sentenced after being convicted by a jury at Birmingham Crown Court last week.

Monk tasered Mr Atkinson three times, once for 33 seconds - six times longer than the normal cycle - before kicking him at least twice in the head during a confrontation in August 2016.
