Mayhem to Bisping: ‘I’m Going to Break Your Face’

Jason “Mayhem” Miller won’t just be fighting on Dec. 3 at The Ultimate Fighter Finale. He’ll be doing a public service.

The always outspoken former host of MTV’s Bully Beatdown is very much looking forward to facing Michael Bisping this weekend, and he’s going to beat him up not just for himself, but for everyone that wishes they could do it, too.

“It’s one of those glorious things that few will get to do, but I will do it for all of you,” Miller told MMAWeekly Radio about the fight with Bisping.

As he got the call from the UFC to offer him the job as coach on the 14th installment of TUF, Miller didn’t really know much about Michael Bisping.

As far as his personality goes, Miller never really kept up with any of the drama surrounding Bisping or his love/hate relationship with the fans. He did, however, keep a close eye on his fight career.

“I didn’t have an opinion. I didn’t formulate one. I didn’t care. I never really paid attention to the guy,” Miller stated. “I thought as far as a fighter, I thought oh I can beat this guy. I’ve thought that for years. I was like why is this guy getting all this attention? I can whip his ass.”

Once Miller spent six weeks with Bisping though, his opinion formulated quickly. The rivals verbally sparred on more than one occasion as their teams of bantamweights and featherweights battled it out during the taping of the reality show.

After it was over, Miller didn’t just believe he could beat Bisping, he really, really wanted to beat him.

“I fell in line with everyone else’s opinion that he’s a giant douche or a turd sandwich. One or the other. I can’t wait to kick his ass on Dec. 3,” Miller stated.

Throughout his career, Miller has faced a lot of different styles and kinds of opponents. He’s faced legends like Kazushi Sakuraba, the strong silent type like Robbie Lawler, and even legitimate American heroes like Tim Kennedy.

In this fight though, Miller is facing someone he’s grown to genuinely dislike and that’s a different kind of motivation heading into his first fight in the UFC in more than six years.

“There’s a lot more motivation to get in the training room and really train hard for a fight like this. I don’t care one way or the other, I’m here to do my job,” said Miller. “I’m going to stay cool, calm, and collected and beat his ass with the utmost technical precision.

“I’m not going to let it get me all fired up. When I was younger, I made the mistake of getting so fired up. I’d go out there all crazy and not be able to do my moves properly. This one I’m not even going to let anything he does get me stressed out. I’m going to go out and do my job.”

Since the show ended, Miller has been in constant training mode alongside his teammates at the Reign Training Center in California. Mayhem has set aside anything else that was on his plate to solely concentrate on one thing and one thing only.

Beating Michael Bisping.

“I’ve thought about nothing but beating up Michael Bisping since we filmed that show. That’s all I’ve thought about the entire time,” said Miller.

“He’s super overrated. They put him up in there with guys he gets to have an easy little kickboxing match with, and he gets to dictate the pace by throwing his jab out there and his right hand. He’s not going to be able to do that to me. He bit off more than he can chew. He’s going to feel bad about the day he agreed to fight me.”

With the fight now looming overhead just a few days away, Miller is done talking and he’s ready to put The Ultimate Fighter season to bed by beating his fellow coach.

He does, however, have a special message to send to Bisping.

“I’d like to give a shout out to Michael Bisping,” Miller stated. “I’m going to break your face.”
