The WWE Monday Night Raw SuperShow was in full effect last night, and Bleacher Report is here to break down the five best moments from the show.
The chaos of having Triple H as WWE COO had subsided, with John Laurinaitis replacing him and taking on the role of interim Raw GM. Though that might be a good thing for the WWE employees, it didn't exactly make for thrilling television.
Fans were expecting some thrilling twists and turns leading into this Sunday's Vengeance pay-per-view. Instead, we were treated to Jim Ross returning to WWE television to team with John Cena against Alberto Del Rio and Michael Cole.
That's not exactly a surefire way to sell a pay-per-view.
There were plenty of other moments during the show, check out the following slides to see how the goofy main event stacked up to the rest of the night.

Jim Ross Returns to WWE TV...for What???

In the opening segment of Raw, Jim Ross was brought back to WWE television by John Laurinaitis.
Sadly, it wasn't so he could continue announcing for the company. No, Ross would be involved in the main event of the evening, joining John Cena in a tag match against Alberto Del Rio and Michael Cole.
Overlooking the raspy voice of John Laurinaitis, I enjoyed his mic work and thought he got a great deal of heat. He's got the right kind of swagger for a corporate heel.

Zack Ryder Looks to Be on the Road to a Title Shot

Zack Ryder absolutely wrecked Jack Swagger in singles competition on Raw, which made for one of his most high profile victories in recent memory.
Ryder scored the pin after hitting a double knee to the chin, and following up with the Rough Ryder.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again: It looks like Ryder is being set up to make a run at the United States Championship while Ziggler and Swagger take the tag team titles.

Another Six-Man Tag Team Match Kills Two Birds with One Stone

The once rare six-man tag team match has nearly become a weekly endeavor inside WWE.
The team of John Morrison, Sheamus and Randy Orton took on Mark Henry, Cody Rhodes and Christian in the first match of the evening.
Creative managed to kill two birds with one stone by developing the Orton-Rhodes feud at the same time as Christian-Sheamus; and the match wasn't bad at all.
I thought that both Rhodes and Christian running from their rivals at different points of the match was well done, leading up to John Morrison being left to fend for himself against Mark Henry.
The finish wasn't too shabby either!

JR Makes Michael Cole Submit

Whether it was JR being on WWE TV and avoiding humiliation, Michael Cole tapping out, or a mixture of both, this moment really did it for me.
I don't think it belonged int the main event, but it was nice to see some justice served in the form of Jim Ross putting Cole in an ankle lock for the win in their tag team bout.
Also worth noting: Cole took Cena's Attitude Adjustment quite well.

CM Punk Defeats the Miz

The feud between CM Punk/Triple H and Awesome Truth has turned out to be, in my opinion, the feud that holds the most weight going in to Vengeance this Sunday.
The match between Miz and Punk featured simple, clean in-ring work, with plenty of spice thrown in by having R-Truth in Miz's corner, and Triple H in Punk's.
I also appreciated how Punk didn't actually finish with the Go to Sleep, but scored a roll up after tossing Miz into R-Truth, who was on the apron.
I think it speaks volumes that a relatively clean cut match tops my list for Raw's best moments.
"Keep it simple, stupid."
