Confusion reigned Monday in a funeral parlor in Santo Domingo East during funeral services for the wife and daughter of Neyba (west) mayor Orlando Gomez, when an alleged pickpocket tried to lift the wallet of the official, who enraged punched the thief in the face.
The attempted theft came was the mayor cried inconsolably as the coffins with his loved ones were being closed in the Blandino funeral home prior to the procession to the cemetery, when many of the mourners grabbed and beat the alleged pickpocket Rafael Acosta so severely, that he had to be rushed to the nearby hospital.
Several lawmakers and government officials were present in the service where several women fainted from the mêlée.

Thats why I jest luvvvvvvv the cops here. Old fashioned justice, none of your plea deals and all that crap. The poor sods only receive about $200 per month too and have to buy their own firearms!!! That thief will receive a nice welcome at the "Ritz" jail too.
