MANHUNT For Army VET in Montana Who Killed Four People at a Montana Bar
Iraq Vet Wanted in Montana Bar Shooting Was Ignored by VA, Family Claims Newsweek 5 AUG 2025 The mental health of a former soldier suspected of killing four people at a Montana bar deteriorated significantly following the death of his mother, relatives said. Michael Paul Brown, a 45 year old former Army armour crewman, is being sought by authorities Monday for allegedly gunning down four people early Friday at The Owl Bar near his home in rural Anaconda, Montana. Mental health is real, Browns niece, Clare Boyle, wrote Friday on Facebook. And it goes unmanaged and dismissed every single day. There are people who search for help and get turned away at every stop along the path. Boyle said she was praying for the town of Anaconda as residents continue to process Fridays mass shooting. She also claimed veterans like her uncle are being turned away from mental health providers unless they're deemed to be an imminent risk to themselves or others. Boyle told KRTV her uncle had significant mental health issues, including schizophrenia and PTSD. Browns father also served in the military, she said. Browns mental health started declining rapidly following the death of his mother Rosemary Brown 66 in 2021. The trauma from losing his last parent broke Mike, Boyle told KRTV. The VA said he no longer qualified for assistance with obtaining prescriptions and help. Brown had delusions of being a time traveller, Boyle said. He no longer drank alcohol because it blocked his wizard powers, she told the station. Mike is harmless 99 percent of the time when others arent asking him about and making fun of his delusions |
