Reginald Alan Roach, 63, was found with "incised wounds" to his groin after his genitals were removed and he bled to death in a disused industrial estate, an inquest was told

A convicted sex offender who bled to death in a disused industrial estate had his genitals cut off, an inquest heard.
Reginald Alan Roach, 63, was found by a dog walker on the Bryn Cegin industrial estate in Bangor on Sunday.
Kate Sutherland, acting senior coroner for north west Wales, opened the hearing today in Caernarfon.
The inquest was told Roach was found unresponsive and died after sustaining the severe “wounds” to his groin, NorthWalesLive reported.
Dr Brian Rodgers carried out a post mortem examination on the deceased, who lived at the Ty Newydd bail hostel on Llandygai Road, Bangor.
The case will continue at a later date
Mrs Sutherland gave the provisional cause of death as "shock and haemorrhage due to incised wounds removing genitalia".
The acting senior coroner adjourned the hearing to a later date pending the result of further investigations.
Roach had a court appearance listed at Llandudno Magistrates Court on October 31, about a week before his death, when he faced a charge of failing to comply with notification requirements in relation to the sex offenders register at Caernarfon Police Station on September 13, 2022.
In August Roach admitted exposing himself at a Travelodge Hotel after asking Travelodge staff to place a bet on for him while he was naked from the waist down, North Wales Live reported.
Roach had been placed at one one of the chain's hotels by a council when he went into a public area of the hotel and was given 16 weeks suspended jail term and ordered to pay £150 compensation to the worker disgusted by his behaviour.
He also had to register as a sex offender.
In 2020 he admitted destroying a poppy memorial the day after Remembrance Sunday in 2019.
A spokesperson for North Wales Police said police are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
They told the Mirror: "Following our statement earlier this week regarding the death of a man who was discovered collapsed at Parc Bryn Cegin, Llandegai, the Coroner today opened an inquest.
"Following a Home Office Post Mortem, and to end unhelpful speculation, we can confirm that we are not looking for anyone else in connection with the death of Reginald Alan Roach, but would renew our appeal for anyone who saw an elderly man, approximately 5’8” tall and wearing blue jeans with a grey hooded top in the area between 10am on Saturday, November 5th and 9am on Sunday, November 6th to please contact us on 101 quoting reference B168289.
"We will not be making further comment as the matter remains with the Local Coroner.
