A 22-year-old "malnourished and dehydrated" woman turned up on the doorstep of a nurse covered in bleeding restraint wounds, telling her that she had been held captive

A sex slave who managed to escape a torture dungeon in Missouri looked like a “horror film victim”, as she was found covered in blood from whip wounds and a metal collar fastened around her neck, it is alleged.

She was reportedly spotted running barefoot from a rental property in Excelsior Springs, Missouri, managing to get 100 yards away before coming to the home of a 41-year-old nurse, Lisa Johnson.

According to Johnson, upon discovery, the 22-year-old escapee was crouched with fear, softly uttering “help me”.

DailyMail.com spoke to Johnson, who said she had been getting ready for work at 7:40am on October 7 when she heard the desperate plea.

The woman was reportedly held at a property in Excelsior Springs, near Kansas

Upon looking out, she said she saw the victim “crawling up” the steps to the home she shares with her husband, Thomas, 37.

Johnson said she immediately realised the woman was in trouble, and that she "looked like something out of a horror movie”.

She said: “She had a metal home-made device tight around her neck, there was duct tape that she had pulled down off her face which had been covering her mouth."

She also went on to say that the woman had wounds all over her body from where she had been tied up and whipped.

She continued: “She was wearing a very, very short black latex dress, which appeared opened up in places, you could plainly see what she had been through.”

Of the woman’s wellbeing, Johnson said she was “clearly dehydrated and malnourished” and weighed around 70lbs.

She allegedly told Johnson that she had been held captive by a man named Timothy Haslett, 39.

After Johnson told her she was going to call the police, the victim reportedly said that Haslett would kill them both, and that Haslett had murdered her two friends.

She said she went inside to call 911, but on her return, discovered the woman had left the premises and was heading over to her neighbour’s home, Ciara Tharp, 39.

Ciara told media that her grandmother had opened the door to the woman, who reportedly told her she had been held captive, raped, and that her captor was going to kill her.

The pair let the woman into the house, fed her and gave her water and sat with her until the police came. The allegedly woman told them: "my friends didn't make it, he killed my friends".

Ciara also commented that her grandmother said the woman’s facts didn't change when the officers arrived.

Johnson also said she believed the victim when she spoke about her friends being murdered by Haslett, as “she had no reason to lie about that.”

Excelsior Springs Police were reported to have said: “We are taking this accusation of two more women victims seriously and are actively investigating it.”

On October 7, police stopped Haslett's car over an unrelated animal control violation, but after he identified his home to officers, they arrested him.

While appearing at Clay County Court via video link, he pleaded not guilty to first degree rape, first degree kidnapping and second-degree assault.
