What is IRC?

Internet Relay Chat (IRC) is a form of real-time Internet text messaging (chat) or synchronous conferencing.It is mainly designed for group communication in discussion forums, called channels, but also allows one-to-one communication via private message as well as chat and data transfer, including file sharing.

It basically allows as many people as you want to join a channel where everyone can talk to each other and discuss whatever you like!

You may of seen IRC Channels on various other websites, often with hundreds of online users at a time. I will also be on the chat very often as im sure most of the staff will so it will also be a place for you to get fast support if necessary as opposed to PM'ing or posting in the chatbox.

aha it'll grow over time, i made one for a playstation forum with a few thousand members to start with and its got 100's of users online on IRC most of the time
