Credit Card Cloning Lab Raided

Santo Domingo, Domnican Republic.-

The Police dismantled an underground credit and debit card-cloning laboratory Thursday in the La Agustinita sector of the National District
The raid was carried out jointly with the public prosecutor’s office. Luis Antonio Vásquez Peña (Melvin), the owner of the house where the equipment was found, was arrested. A total of 68 cards with different bank logos were seized. The authorities have not disclosed the names of the banks whose cards were cloned.

The Police was acting on intelligence information under judicial warrant 0037-08-2014.

As well as the cards, they also confiscated a laptop computer they believe was used for online fraud.
