MPAA Boss: Backroom SOPA Negotiations are Ongoing

The Hollywood reporter published an interview with MPAA boss and former Senator Chris Dodd.
Among other things the MPAA chief was asked about the progress on the SOPA anti-piracy bill.
While the public believes the plan has been shelved for now, Dodd suggests otherwise.
HR: Are there conversations going on now?
Dodd: I’m confident that’s the case, but I’m not going to go into more detail because obviously if I do, it becomes counterproductive.
HR: Did you feel personally blindsided by Obama over SOPA?
Dodd: I’m not going to revisit the events of last winter. I’ll only say to you that I’m confident he’s using his good relationships in both communities to do exactly what you and I have been talking about.
We would like to briefly revisit last winter’s events by pointing out that Dodd is known for his revealing insights regarding SOPA.
Previously he threatened to stop the cash-flow to politicians who dare to take a stand against pro-Hollywood legislation.
This resulted in a petition demanding the White House to investigate Dodd for alleged bribery.
