Naked Man Terrorizes Tanning Salon, Goes on Violent Rampage

EDMONTON — Police say a naked man terrorized staff at a Spruce Grove, Alta., tanning salon before putting on some clothes and assaulting four people, including two at a nearby daycare.

The man allegedly went berserk after exiting a tanning booth naked at about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. After harassing staff, he finally dressed and left the salon, making his way down the street where he attacked an elderly man and crushed his hearing aid, police said.

The suspect then walked into a daycare where 56 children were present and allegedly assaulted two people who tried to intervene.

Once back out on the street, he attacked another passerby, police said.
Officers arrived on scene and arrested the suspect.

Jason Simeon Genge, 33, of Stony Plain has been charged with four counts of assault, two counts of causing a disturbance, one count of indecent act, two counts of mischief, and one count of attempting to bribe a police officer.
