Inside Warped Love Has Won Cult as ex-McDonald’s Worker Found Mummified With Eyes Missing

Self-styled 'Mother God' is thought to have died from her own bogus Covid cure after 'brainwashing and bullying' followers for years at Colorado headquarters

Daily Mirror UK,.9 MAY 2021.

Carlson's followers waited on her hand and foot, with up to 20 full-time members living at the cult's HQ

She was the self-proclaimed 'Mother God', an ex-McDonald's worker who believed she could lead her devoted followers into a fifth dimension.

However, the sleepy, mountainous town of Moffat, Colorado, was rocked last week after the mummified corpse of Amy Carlson was found wrapped in Christmas lights, covered in glitter with her eyes missing.

The chilling discovery comes 16 years after the 45-year-old set up Love Has Won, a new age cult that believed Carlson was a divine being leading a 19 billion-year mission to save humanity.

Raking in cash from 'believers' through daily YouTube streams, the leader previously denied accusations of brainwashing , the leader previously denied accusations of brainwashing and "mental manipulation" - forcing members to sleep for just four hours and claiming they can help cure cancer.

"I don't know if I'm a big believer in karma, but I think that I really do believe justice needs to be served for what Amy has done to these people, these families, these friendships," a former friend of Carlson said of the cult.

With seven alleged followers now arrested following the death of their leader, who is thought to have died after consuming her own bogus Covid cure, here we step inside the warped world of Love Has Won.

Leader who 'talked to angels' said father was Trump

Known as 'Mom' to her believers, Carlson lived in a crowded house in Colorado with up to 20 full-time disciples, who left their old lives behind to cater for her every need.

She founded Love Has Won in 2005 after leaving her job at McDonald's and splitting from her husband, believing she had been reincarnated 534 times and was destined to lead 144,000 people into a grand awakening.

“She didn’t have the ego programming like we do,” an official spokesperson for the group told the Vice documentary False Gods.

“Mom was just in full consciousness for her whole life. That’s why she is the example, because we are not at that consciousness level. Nowhere near.”

A charismatic presence, Carlson, originally from Kansas, built a following through early morning streams on YouTube. In the daily videos - which are still being posted since her death - the hosts also appeal for donations and flog merchandise to fund their strange lifestyle.

Among Carlson's most bizarre claims was that Donald Trump was her father in a previous life and that, due to her ability to talk to angels, she was in regular contact with the comedian Robin Williams.

Love Has Won deny claims they are a cult, instead considering themselves a religious movement devoted to "the highest truth" - insisting everything wider society believes about the world is a lie

'Brainwashed members only allowed four hours sleep'

Beneath the promise of spiritual enlightenment, however, lie allegations of substance abuse, fraudulent schemes and bullying.

A host of former followers have accused Carlson of running a "scam", claiming they were underfed, banned from sitting, and never paid for their work at the group's headquarters.

Speaking to Vice, former Love Has Won member Taylor revealed: “It’s a lot, a lot, a lot, a lot of mental manipulation, a lot of brainwash.

“Carlson only let us sleep for four hours, we have to wake up every day at 5am, we start the live stream at 6am.”

A spokesperson for the group denied claims of sleep deprivation and poor pay, claiming they were made by "usually people who are really lazy".

In shocking scenes from the documentary, Carlson is seen holding up a cat by its fur and allegedly putting a young child in a closet for having a tantrum.

Over the years, she also enjoyed the company of multiple 'Father of Gods', romantic partners who help her run the operatio

One former 'father' is Andrew Profaci, who joined the group in 2014 after surviving a deadly crash and spent 10 months as Carlson's lover.

Profaci, who has since left the group, told Vice she would binge on vast amounts of booze each day, despite preaching a strict ban on drugs and alcohol.

“She would fill a highball glass almost the whole way with vodka and just spritz water on top,” he said.

“She probably drank eight or nine of those a night. She’d turn into somebody else. She would become angry, she would talk smack and just be very bitter about things, yelling and cussing.”

Dangerous 'cures' for cancer and Covid-19

Most disturbing, however, are the dangerous health 'cures' purported by the cult.

In one live stream, Carlson urged desperately ill viewers to get in touch, saying: “We want to say to the YouTubers that we are doing brain surgeries and organ repair."

Since the Covid-19 pandemic, the group is also alleged to have been selling colloidal silver as a bogus remedy through a business called Gaia's Whole Healing Essentials, LLC.

Falsely claiming the product - a liquid containing small particles of silver - could boost the immune system, they urged Covid sufferers to take it up to five times a day.

However, ingesting colloidal silver can lead to serious complications including kidney damage, and the company was sent a warning by the US Food and Drug Administration in April 2020.

'Mother God died after drinking liquid silver'

In a grim twist of fate, Carlson's death is now being linked to her own consumption of the fake cure .

Her son, Cole, told the Daily Beast that she had "taking huge amounts of colloidal silver" before her body was found last Wednesday.

The corpse was found in a room plastered with murals at a mobile home in Saguache County, which belonged to Miguel Lamboy, under whose name the 'healing' business was registered under.

The local coroner believes Carlson passed away in March, while Lamboy - who says he discovered the body upon returning home from Denver - has suggested the group had transported her body to the property from California.

Saguache County Sheriff Dan Warwick said her eyes were likely missing from decomposition and that the corpse appeared to have been "cared for".

Alleged followers Ryan Kramer, John Robertson, Jason Castillo, Obdulia Franco Gonzalez, Karin Raymond, Christopher Royer, and Sarah Raymone have reportedly been arrested on charges including abuse of a corpse and child abuse.

Two children - a 13-year-old girl and a two-year-old boy - were found asleep in the mobile home. The teenager has now been placed with social services, while the young boy belongs to Lamboy, according to the Daily Beast.

Carlson's family, who had not heard from her since January, say they hope her death will mark the end of the warped cult.

'It's not a great thing, but hopefully this brings an end to the Love Has Won debacle. I hope the damage stops now," said Cole

Meanwhile, sister Chelsea Ann Reninger hopes to remember Carlson for "who she was" before she formed the group.

Confirming her death on Facebook, she wrote: "For those of you that knew my sister Amy, I wanted to let you know we found out yesterday of her passing!

"Please pray for us and the people involved in this awful situation. We are choosing to remember who she was when she was in our lives on a regular basis and not who she became from this manipulating cult!”
