Inside Haunting Abandoned Dental Surgery With Teeth and Jaw Moulds Left to Rot

A building previously occupied by 1st Dental in North Yorkshire UK has been left abandoned for eight years, with its contents - including false teeth and jaw moulds - still left inside

Eerie photographs give a look inside a long-forgotten dental surgery which has stood vacant and abandoned for eight years. The haunting images show tables scattered with moulds of human jaws and sets of false teeth implants left strewn across the floor.

The building opened as 1st Dental on Wetherby Road, Harrogate, in 2000, specialising in dental moulds for dental prosthetics but also served as a private general dentist

Before that, the site was occupied by Aesthetic Dental services.
After 1st Dental was placed into administration in 2010, it was bought out by investment firm Zeus Group, but the branch closed its doors in 2012.

Eight years later it remains unused and often attracts youngsters in the town who use it as a place to socialise.

Previous attempts to takeover and refurbish the building have failed, with Starbucks submitting three planning applications to open a coffee shop at the address, only to see the plan rejected each time.

Posting more than 50 photos, the caption reads: "1st Dental was a Harrogate based private dental laboratory. Located within the town I live, I've had this old dentist pinned since the beginning, and finally found out it had access.

"As evident throughout, the youth of Harrogate have used the building as a place to hang out. The building has been badly trashed and vandalised, with graffiti dating back to 2016."

Images from the outside show the building to be overgrown and the creepy interior to still have much of the abandoned equipment and documentation left in place.

Tables are covered in dental implants to replace missing teeth, medical masks, surgical equipment, documentation, and patient records.

Moulds for both individual teeth and entire jaws have been left to gather dust, along with a cabinet containing drawers full of false teeth.

Calendars and pens are still sitting on the reception desk, while a long forgotten coffee cup and pair of glasses remain untouched.

Office areas show the ceiling to be rotted through, a chair caked in dust below, and tiles and brickwork to be falling away from the walls.

Cardboard boxes full of records have been torn from the shelves and dumped on the floor, with every desk drawer left hanging open having been scavenged through.
