Giuliani Bankruptcy; HELP Judge DONT Take My $3.5MIL Condo-I Need it To Podcast
Rudy Giuliani Tells Bankruptcy Judge He needs to Keep His $3.5M Condo to Keep Podcasting
Rudy Giuliani wants a bankruptcy court to let him keep his $3.5 million condo in Florida — because he operates his podcast and talks to all 'his luvies' on it. MSRAW 31 MAR 2024 According to Law & Crime's Brandi Buchman, "In a motion filed Thursday, Giuliani, who owes election workers Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss $148 million for defaming them, asked a bankruptcy court in the Southern District of New York to let him keep his Florida condominium, valued at $3.5 million, as he fights the judgment on appeal." Giuliani, the former mayor of New York City and a close ally of former President Donald Trump, promoted claims that Freeman and Moss, a mother-and-daughter duo, were stuffing ballots when they were working at a polling center in Atlanta in 2020 — his evidence being that he saw one pass a "USB stick" to another, which turned out to be a ginger mint. Freeman and Moss had their lives turned upside down by the allegations, receiving a constant string of threats and harassment from Trump supporters. The lawsuit came down at a moment when Giuliani, who helped Trump unsuccessfully pursue litigation to try to block the 2020 election from being certified, was reportedly in dire financial trouble. "Giuliani does not oppose the sale of his property in Manhattan, however," Buchman noted. "That property could be sold so he could make his primary residence in Florida, he contends. His lawyers noted that the New York property is expected to be listed by Sotheby’s soon for $5 million. With that home sold, Giuliani said he expects 'his monthly expenses will be significantly reduced.' Though he claims creditors are accusing him of operating with 'reckless abandon and improper judgment' in his attempt to hold onto the Florida property, Giuliani says he is 'using sound business judgment' by acknowledging that one property must be sold while he keeps the other to 'grow his broadcast income,' the motion states." In addition to the civil judgment, Giuliani is also named as a co-defendant with Trump in the election racketeering case brought by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis. |
