To Save the Desktop Icon Positions and to Restore them
a. Click on Desktop and click on View b. Uncheck “auto-arrange icons” c. Uncheck “Align icons to grid” Log off and log on to windows. You’ll see the position of the desktop icons unaltered. To restore it back, just reverse the process by checking those items. It does work! ![]() But do remember to rearrange the icons back to the position they were in first before you do the above. Many times new things you install, including some of MSoft "Updates", may disarrange the icons. The above will prevent that happening ![]() So need to post a thanks or click the thanks button, no one ever does! ![]() .
