This two-CD set compiles the full contents of the two 1994 CD compilations ABBA GOLD and MORE ABBA GOLD, which, on its release in 1994, helped ignite the Swedish foursome's sudden comeback after years of critical and commercial neglect. As such, FOREVER GOLD is a treasure trove, perhaps the quickest and easiest way to get most of ABBA's very best work, and as such is indispensable to ABBA neophytes. ABBA completists will undoubtedly find the collection useful as well, as the 39-song collection features the rare and difficult to locate edited versions of "Eagle" and "The Visitors" and an excellent remix of "Lovelight."
