I was born in a territory to a woman who never really wanted me
I don't know if daddy did I don't even know who he is
When I was 3 the territory said mama couldn't take care of me
They sent strangers in the night to take me away from mama's side

15 years I bounced around from home to home from town to town

Family after family said they wanted to rescue me
But foster dad and foster mum never would've let me stay that long
