Amy Winehouse went through an excruciatingly painful divorce from her husband Blake Fielder-Civil after the pair's descent into "hell".
The superstar singer - who died in 2011 aged 27 - tied the knot with former video production assistant Blake in Miami on 18 May 2007 after an on/off romance.
In the months that followed their marriage, the pair started to spark concern as they were regularly pictured partying in London looking worse for wear.
In August 2007, the pair hit headlines following an incident at the posh Sanderson Hotel in London.
Police were called to investigate reports of a bust-up but Amy reportedly refused to press charges and fled the hotel in the early hours of the morning.
She was pictured reunited with Blake hours later and the shocking snaps showed her wearing blood-soaked ballet pumps and bandages on her arms.

Amy also had bruises all over her neck and her make-up was smeared across her face, while Blake had scratches on his face and neck.
Reports at the time suggested Amy's family had become increasingly concerned for her,and it later emerged the couple had been doing heroin together.
Speaking after her death, Blake revealed they had a wild four months which descended into rampant drug use - and admitted he regretted introducing his wife to heroin.
He went to prison in the summer of 2008 after being convicted of perverting the course of justice and grievous bodily harm with intent over an attack on a pub landlord.

Amy was left devastated after Blake was torn away from her, and made her feelings about his incarceration perfectly clear.
She sparked outrage by changing the words of the anthem Free Nelson Mandela to "Free Blakey, my fella" while performing in front of the South African hero at his 90th birthday celebration concert in London.
However, as Blake's sentenced rolled on, Amy appeared to start moving on with her life.
She jetted out to the Caribbean island of St Lucia where she took a lengthy break as a form of rehab - adopting a clean lifestyle and enjoying herself in the sunshine.

The singer was pictured finally looking happy and healthy again as she rode horses, played on the beach and spent time out of the spotlight.
It was during her time in St Lucia that Amy is believed to have fallen for a new man, actor Josh Bowman, and started to pull away from her doomed marriage.
During this time, she told the News of the World that she had finally escaped the "hell" of drugs and had found happiness.
She told the paper: "I've finally escaped from hell. I'm in love again, and I don't need drugs...

"I don't know what's going on with us [me and Blake] now, and for the time being I've just forgotten I'm even married.
"I'm just here on my own, happy and having a good time with Josh. I'll deal with Blake when I get back. But our whole marriage was based on doing drugs."
However, she was forced to deal with her marital situation before she got back as Blake filed for divorce from behind bars in January 2009.
He filed on the grounds of Amy's adultery after her Caribbean romance became public.
Months later Amy appeared to be trying to fight to save the marriage, as she told a magazine: "I still love Blake and I want him to move into my new house with me - that was my plan all along...

"I won't let him divorce me. He's the male version of me and we're perfect for each other."
However, the divorce went through uncontested and the singer didn't try to fight his adultery claims.
The divorce was granted in in July 2009 and it became final six weeks later on August 28, with Blake receiving none of Amy's fortune in the settlement.
Speaking after her death in 2011, Blake admitted he regretted introducing her to heroin and said he divorced her to "set her free".
In an appearance on The Jeremy Kyle Show, Blake explained: "We used heroin together as addicts for like four months, then I went to jail.
"Then it got a lot worse while I was in jail and then when I came out of jail I was told that if I loved her I'd divorce her and set her free and I did.

"I was smoking it on foil and she said can I try some and I said... I might have put up a weak resistance – the fact is whatever I said she did end up having some...
"The fact is what I'm saying is of course I regret it, not just because of the damage it's caused Amy and the loss of life, but the damage to her family but also to my family and also to me."
Amy died in July 2011 aged 27 after a drinking binge.
