People who have been declared clinically dead before being brought back to life have shared their experiences.

The mystery of what happens when you die has been the subject of ground-breaking scientific studies and a team at the University of Tartu in Estonia earlier this year recorded the first ever brain activity during death.

Data found that the brain continues to works for a few seconds after the heart stops beating and you die.

Gamma waves showed the brain working in the same way it does during dreaming or meditating.

Amazingly, some people do actually die momentarily - known as being clinically dead - before being revived back to life.

A series of three trends emerged among the hundreds of replies: ones who felt nothing; ones who saw light and had some interaction with others; ones who could observe their death but do nothing about it.
