Toronto Police Officer Charged With Child Pornography
TORONTO - A Toronto Police officer is facing child pornography charges following a raid of his Mississauga home earlier this month. Peel Regional Police’s Internet child exploitation unit — working off a tip from Toronto Police — launched a two-month investigation into the officer, who was allegedly using his Mississauga computer to access child porn. Dariusz Kisielewski, 44, was arrested last Thursday and charged with one count each of possession of child pornography and making child pornography, and three counts of voyeurism. A Toronto Sun story from April 1994 quoted Kisielewski, who was carrying out his duties when an elderly woman turned in a cache of Second World War-era rifles. Toronto Police Const. Victor Kwong confirmed Tuesday that Kisielewski is a Toronto officer with 22 Division in Etobicoke and that he has been suspended with pay pending the outcome of the case. He would not confirm his rank nor how many years he has been with the force. Kisielewski is listed on Ontario’s “Sunshine List,” the annual list of public sector employees making in excess of $100,000. In 2012, he was listed as a police constable and was paid $116,787,12.
