The 21 year old was held in the early hours of this morning on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life. He remains in custody. The Metropolitan Police have not confirmed where the arson suspect was arrested. He was held after the doors of two homes linked to the Prime Minister in north London both suffered fire damage within 24 hours of each other, one in the early hours of yesterday and another in the early hours of Sunday. There was also a vehicle fire on the same street last Thursday that is connected to Starmer in a potential arson spree targeting the PM. Scotland Yard is probing whether the blazes are linked and said today that the arrest relates to the three incidents. Counter terror cops launched an investigation into the latest blaze at the premiers ?2 million townhouse yesterday morning where neighbours had heard a loud bang Officers were searching gardens nearby for a projectile with one neighbour telling MailOnline it may have been a firebomb attack. Starmer, his wife Victoria and their children moved into an apartment in 10 Downing Street after the election last July. Investigators believe that the fire at the previous home may have been started deliberately in the middle of the night. It is currently being treated as suspicious as investigations continue into the cause of the blaze. The PM has thanked the emergency services with his spokesperson saying they were unable to comment further. ![]() Sir Keir and his wife, Victoria, were previously seen clapping for the NHS from outside the home in London, during the height pandemic in May, 2020 ARSON Fears as Police Investigate THIRD Fire Linked to Keir Starmer After House Fire https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z06CCuqkqVA Moment Flames Engulf Car Outside Keir Starmers ?2MIL Home as Man Held Over Arson https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LlprRlQKijY |

Second man charged in probe over fires at homes linked to Keir Starmer MailOnline 20 MAY 2025 ![]() Stanislav Carpiuc, a Romanian national is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Tuesday morning, the Metropolitan Police said in a statement Carpiuc has been charged in relation to fires which damaged properties and a car linked to Keir Starmer, the Metropolitan Police said. He is accused of conspiring with Roman Lavrynovych, who has already been charged with three counts of arson with intent to endanger life. The Met said Carpiuc has also been charged with intending to damage the property, and intending to endanger the life or another or being reckless as to whether the life of another would thereby be endangered Carpiuc was arrested on May 17 at London Luton Airport by counter terrorism officers from the Eastern Region Special Operations Unit, the Met added. A 34 year old man was also arrested on May 19 in the Chelsea area on suspicion of conspiracy to commit arson with intent to endanger life. He remains in police custody. Last week Lavrynovych appeared in court, wearing a grey tracksuit, and spoke only to confirm his name, address and date of birth. Westminster Magistrates Court heard how a substantial body of evidence links Lavrynovych to three fires on residential properties and a car connected to the PM. Lavrynovych, who was remanded in custody until a further hearing at the Old Bailey scheduled for June 6, denied the charges in a police interview. |
