A bushfire on Sunday threatened homes on the north eastern outskirts of Perth
Flames in nearby bushland could be seen towering over a new housing estate.
The state's Department of Fire and Emergency Services told local media that the fire is threatening lives and homes in the area, and residents need to act immediately.
Water-bombing helicopters have joined firefighters on the ground trying to bring the blaze under control.
