(CNN) -- A 4.4 magnitude earthquake struck just west of Los Angeles on Monday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
happened at 6:25 a.m., according to the USGS.
The 4.4-magnitude earthquake hit west Los Angeles this morning shortly before 6:25 a.m., waking the city up with a start and rocking vehicles back and forth during the morning commute. No significant damage was reported. The earthquake occurred 4.97mi NW of Westwood, California

Earlier, the USGS said the magnitude was 4.7.
