In spring 2010, MetLife Stadium opened its doors as the first building owned and operated by two NFL franchises, the New York Jets and their local rivals the New York Giants.

Setting: MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey will host the Super Bowl on February 2
Chill: Forecasters have predicted that this could be one of the coldest Super Bowls in history
Prize asset: Tickets for the Super Bowl are always hard to come by and change hands for thousands of dollars
Every year, MetLife plays host to at least 20 NFL games (four pre-season and 16 regular-season), but this year there will be a 21st - the Super Bowl.
As well as hosting America's most popular sport during the winter, MetLife also opens its doors to major concerts and entertainment events as well as other sports such as football, motor sports and college action.
The 2.1million square foot facility holds 82,500 spectators, although that figure can be increased to 90,000 for non American football events, and was constructed with a neutral backdrop, allowing the stadium to be easily transformed from the green of the Jets to Giants blue.
Shared: The Stadium in the Meadowlands is home to both the New York Jets and Giants
Stocking up: Over 80,000 spectators will be in attendance at MetLife Stadium for the Super Bowl
Catering: Sushi is on display at one of MetLife Stadium's food counters
Every week during the NFL season, the outside of the stadium lights up in the colour of either the Jets or Giants, depending on who is playing at home that week.
The likes of Brazil and Argentina have played at MetLife Stadium, as have Chelsea and AC Milan as part of the International Champions Cup pre-season competition. ( Photos below)

This time last year, MetLife Stadium was preparing to host WrestleMania, the WWE's flagship event every year.
After that event in April 2013, attended by over 80,000 people, WWE executive vice president of television production Kevin Dunn said: 'Frankly, our event is bigger than the Super Bowl.'
He added: 'I'm very confident that when you go to a WrestleMania, you will see a bigger show than the Super Bowl.'
