Television Netfix Gets "Biggest Update in Netflix History to our TV Experience"

Netflix has announced this week that it has just undergone the "biggest update in Netflix history to our TV experience" The update affects the universal Netflix on TV experience, including the platforms for Roku 3, Smart TVs, Blu-ray players and consoles.

As Netflix explains, the "new experience evolved through a process of design exploration, iteration and testing that extended throughout all parts of the Netflix TV experience. We set out to deliver an update that would make it even easier to discover something great to watch and we think we succeeded."

Throughout the navigation of the streaming library, there will be three large images for each show/movie and full context about the title rather than just the name. Furthermore, there is a "shorter, more descriptive synopsis as well as personalized information to provide more detail about why you should watch a specific title."That information includes info based on your viewing habits, taste preferences or your social networking.

Within each title, you will see a better synopsis of the film, along with details about the cast. For TV episodes, each episodes has its own image along with a better synopsis, as well. When searching, there is now a "visual" experience, and you can now search for actors and directors along with regular titles.

Finally, Netflix Profiles is now available across all devices, voice is available for the Xbox, and pointer-based navigation is supported for Smart TVs.

The update went live today and will take two weeks to roll out to your console or Roku 3 device. Blu-ray players are dependent on their manufacturer.
