Green Arrow Charlie Sheen Reports for Jury Duty—One Word: "Mistrial"

Charlie Sheen is only exceptional in so many ways—he's still gotta report for jury duty like everyone else.

The Anger Management star responsibly headed to a Los Angeles courthouse to fulfill his civic obligation, telling TMZ as he was getting out of his car that he was hoping for something like a "multiple homicide case, something really interesting," to sink his teeth into.

"But everybody's innocent until proven guilty, right? At least they used to be, right?" Sheen added, also admitting that he didn't know if he'd ever be selected to sit on a jury because he might be too much of a distraction.

No word yet on whether Sheen got that murder case, but later in the day, perhaps during the mandated lunch break, he tweeted a picture of himself, flashing his juror badge.

Sheen isn't the only actor who's added a bit of excitement to the usually pretty unglamorous goings-on at the courthouse lately.

Tom Hanks served as a juror on a domestic assault trial earlier this month—and the two-time Oscar winner's presence actually ended up affecting the outcome of the case.

According to CNN a lawyer not involved in the trial who worked in the L.A. City Attorney's Office approached Hanks to thank him for his service, prompting the defendant's attorney to charge prosecutorial misconduct and ask for a mistrial. The two sides returned to the negotiating table and the defendant ended up pleading to a lesser charge of disturbing the peace and was fined $150.

A City Attorney's Office spokesman later told CNN that they were reviewing the incident.

Surely Sheen can make more waves than that!
