If you favor Floyd Mayweather enough to put your money on him, a Latvia-based sports book is your best bet for early online wagering, while those favoring Saul "Canelo" Alvarez will find their best prices in the United Kingdom.
Mayweather has opened as a man-to-man favorite of more than 3-1 for his Sept. 14 fight against Alvarez at one sports book, U.K.-based Ladbrokes.
Bovada, formerly called Bodog until the U.S. government closed down its .com domain and the company moved to a Latvia-based domain, thinks a bit more of Alvarez and has him a 5-2 underdog in man-to-man wagering.
Mayweather is a -350 favorite at Ladbrokes, meaning bettors favoring him must risk $350 to win $100. Alvarez is a +275 underdog at Ladbrokes, so bettors can win $275 for every $100 wagered, the best return price for those betting on the young Mexican star.
Mayweather is -280 at Bovada, the best price for those favoring him, compared to +220 for Alvarez.
U.K.-based William Hill has Mayweather -333 and Alvarez +250
