The 2012-13
NBA season has been a breeze for star power forward
Chris Bosh and the Miami Heat, but not everything is perfect for the superstar member, as his Florida home was reportedly robbed, during his birthday party no less.
According to
NBC 6 South Florida, $340,000 worth of watches, handbags and rings were stolen from Bosh's residence.
NBC 6 is reporting that the robbery occurred late Wednesday night. Bosh and his wife were out celebrating his 29th birthday. When they returned home they noticed that some things had been stolen, so they reportedly contacted the police at 12:30 a.m. ET Thursday morning.
According to the report, police say that there were no signs of forced entry, and big-ticket items such as Bosh's NBA championship ring were left alone.
Bosh's birthday celebration was an
extravagant Moroccan-themed affair.
Many of his Heat teammates were in attendance, including
LeBron James,
Dwyane Wade, Udonis Haslem and Juwan Howard, according to
JocksandStilettoJill.com.
With teammates James, Wade and Mario Chalmers missing the past couple games, Bosh has been a one-man show for the Heat as of late. He poured in 23 points in a victory over the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday, including the game-winning three-pointer.
Bosh tends to defer to James and Wade when everyone is healthy, but head coach Erik Spoelstra has to be pleased with the way his big man has been playing with the NBA playoffs quickly approaching.
Bosh will have to refocus his attention on basketball in short order, as he and the Heat will travel to take on the Charlotte Bobcats on Friday.
