my brother works for amtrak, almost 7 years now and from what he told me just about the New Orleans,LA location, in those 7 years, 1 person failed 2 drug test and was fired, 2 other ppl failed 1 test but since then through multiple test after, they are still clean...

the ones who drive the trains are a lil more careful as they can be tested after an accident thats not there fault...

example, a person committing suicide or someone who tries to beat the train and gets hit/killed...

immediately after the accident, the engineer is given a piss test right on the spot.
