WWE WWE: Huge Brock News

Brock Lesnar's WWE Future Potentially Revealed

By Bleachersreport on September 27, 2012

As we all know, Brock Lesnar has been MIA since his Tout announcing his "retirement".

Keep in mind, this isn't the first disappearing act by "The Next Big Thing" as he also took time off after his Extreme Rules match with John Cena.

Sadly for fans, Lesnar landed a sweet deal from the WWE, allowing him to have limited appearances throughout his one-year deal.

Now, according to Dave Meltzer in the new Wrestling Observer Newsletter available to F4WOnline.com subscribers (via WrestlingInc.com):

We noted back in the summer that WWE officials were likely going to offer Brock Lesnar another deal once his current deal expires at WrestleMania 29 next year. Lesnar's future with WWE was apparently going to be decided on the SummerSlam buyrate.

Now that those numbers have came out and this year's SummerSlam was the most successful since 2008, people in WWE note that Lesnar is almost guaranteed to receive another deal from WWE next year.

Overall, this could be great news for Lesnar, but is it great new for fans? I, for one, would like to see Lesnar make more appearances and wrestle more often. This would allow feuds to build up properly and remind fans how intense he is.

Don't get me wrong, he certainly has proven himself in the ring since his return. Although, I would have preferred to see Paul Heyman alongside Brock Lesnar each week—as opposed to just Heyman.

Yes, Heyman is a great mouthpiece for him and provides a great antagonist factor to Lesnar's persona. But, I feel Heyman representing Lesnar, without Lesnar, is weak. To me, it was a move that would have been better served after Lesnar had made multiple appearances, as opposed to a handful.

In the end, I'm just a fan that wants to see one of the WWE's biggest names have more of a presence. Hopefully, once this deal expires, the WWE will negotiate more dates and fans will get to see Lesnar once or twice a month as opposed to once or twice every three months.
