Default The Song That Only You Can Sing

The Song That Only You Can Sing

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SLPRHSQnUjw

I wrote a song and shared it for the first time when I spoke at BYU?s Education Week in August.

I was so nervous to share it because I don't write music.

But the words in the song were helpful to some of the people and their families, so I wanted to share it with you.

It was written...
For those who are struggling.
For those who know someone struggling.
For those who have lost hope.
For those who have lost faith.
For those who feel like they can?t go on.
For those who feel like they?re on the outside.
For those who feel like they don?t belong.
For those who are having a hard time feeling love.
Love for others.
Love for yourself.

Think of a person. Maybe it?s a family member. Maybe a friend. Maybe it?s you.
That person who?s going through so much pain.

Mental.
Physical.
Emotional.
Spiritual.

That person who feels trapped.
That person who feels like they?re drowning.

This is my song to those who need help and to those who can give help.

To your loved ones.
To your friends.
To you.

It?s the song that "only you" can sing.

You have something unique to give to this world.

To your family.
To your faith.
To your community.
You, and only you.

I beg you to listen to it twice and think of that person whom you love.

And if you?re the one struggling, then listen to it 3 times.

Listen to the two voices.
Are you the one in the struggle?
Or are you the one who is there to help?

You could find yourself at any given time on either side of the song.

And that?s the beauty of this life.
That we are here for each other.

Always.
