Typhoon Kalmaegi; Hundreds Dead as Storms Hit Vietnam With 92mph Wind

Vietnam has been hit by Typhoon Kalmaegi and its 92mph winds after flash flooding and landslides killed dozens of people and left others missing across the Philippines

Vietnam and the Philippines are dealing with the devastation caused by Typhoon Kalmaegi, which resulted in the deaths of more than 241 people

After triggering flash floods across the Philippines which destroyed homes and business, the typhoon moved to Vietnam, where winds of up to 92mph hit the countrys coastline.

Six airports across the country have been closed and hundreds of flights are set to be impacted, the government said. As the country braces for strong winds, flooding and landslides, more than 260,000 soldiers are on standby for rescue efforts, according to Vietnamese media.
