Over an astonishingly short period, Gov. Gavin Newsom of California has transformed himself from a competent but uninspired California liberal to a piercing voice drowning out and cutting through MAGA.

In so doing, Newsom has become our most necessary American, and showing he has the capabilities to become a GREAT President NOT in any way a dangerous egotistical incompetent like Donald Trump



Reasonable people can differ in pegging the precise point at which the California governor turned a corner. Some might say the spark first ignited during Trumps visit to Los Angeles after the fires, when Newsom set an uncompromising and unflinching non political tone.

Others may nod to the objection and subsequent litigation over National Guard troops roaming those same LA streets. Perhaps it took right up until he said, NO MORE and promised to redistrict California in response to Trumps Texas power play.

While people quibble, all can agree that Newsom is now meeting the moment, whether it is a press conference on the new California initiative, the now nearly inevitable political showdown going forward, or the elegant all-cap trolling on Xitter, tweets with a familiar syncopation and beguiling iteration, matching Trump word for incoherent word. Newsom has this.


He is now the post MAGA GCN, and only starting to ROAR. But it took a president on the prowl of democracy to put him in the hunt.


The single most remarkable thing about Trump 2.0 is not the pace at which he is tearing down our hopes for the republics health, that project was in the works and has been campaigned on since 2021

No, the most shocking development has been the Democrats mealy mouthed retreat from center ground, the humiliating hole in space presumed to be covered by our Congressional representation. Whether it was Chuck Schumers cave on the debt ceiling or Hakeem Jeffries lukewarm resistance, the voiceless opposition has never been so muted.

Enter Newsom


A year ago, all of this would have seemed laughable. On the national scene, Newsom however competent and likable was seen at best to be a placeholder for a nation too immature and insufficiently desperate to call on Pete Buttigieg to restore sanity as a 2008 redux, rainbow version.

Newsom was, after all, a California liberal, the death knell for any part of the country east of the Sierras. Moreover, Gavin may as well be a Clinton, having been on the political scene for decades with nary a memorable noise at a Democratic convention, primary, or campaign. That was then.







It took Trump morphing into New Trump to bring out the fight in Gavin Newsom. And fight he has.

Trump announced on Monday on his social media site, that he plans to lead a movement to get rid of mail - in ballots and voting machines in the country ahead of next years midterm elections


Part of his plan includes signing an executive order that bars states from using mail ballots and potentially some voting machines. He said, without evidence, that voting machines are highly inaccurate, as well as more expensive and less reliable than counting paper ballots.

We're going to start with an executive order thats being written right now by the best lawyers in the country to end mail in ballots because they're corrupt, Trump said during a meeting at the White House Monday.


And its time that the Republicans get tough and stop it because the Democrats want it. Its the only way they can get elected

A progressive analyst fired back at President Donald Trump's supporters, who are calling on a prominent Democratic lawmaker to shape up his online behavior.



For the last several days, California Gov. Gavin Newsom has been trolling Trump online by imitating his syntax, diction, and capitalization style in several posts. Trump supporters on Fox News, News Nation, and social media have come to the presidents defense, telling Newsom that he needs to cut it out.

Progressive YouTuber Brian Tyler Cohen mocked the outrage from Trump supporters on his show No Lie on Tuesday. Cohen argued that Newsom was simply providing a mirror for Trump supporters.

The reality is that the reason these Republicans are melting down is because they don't know how to handle the fact that Newsom is exposing the humiliating behavior that they themselves have supported and normalized, Cohen said.


All Newsoms doing is acting as a mirror, Cohen continued. And its embarrassing for them. They would love for him to stop because then the stuff that they approve of that they've been approving of for years wouldnt be so obvious to the rest of the country.

Cohen then played multiple clips of TV hosts defending Trump against Newsoms posts.


Just so Im understanding here, Newsom, the governor of California, is directly imitating the president of the United States, Cohen said. But his imitating the president is somehow disqualifying him from being president Please, someone, make it make sense

Gavin Newsoms Major Social Blitz is Starting to STING





California Gov. Gavin Newsom has been on a social media frenzy over the past several days trolling President Donald Trump by evoking his writing style in several posts

While the strategy has been mocked by some conservative critics, even some MAGA heavyweights are admitting the social media blitz is starting to sting.


He's no Trump, but if you look at the Democratic Party, he's at least getting up there, and hes trying to imitate a Trumpian vision of fighting, said Steve Bannon, former White House chief of staff under Trump and host of the alt right podcast War Room, speaking with Politico Wednesday.


He looks like the only person in the Democratic Party who is organizing a fight that they feel they can win.


People in the MAGA movement and the America First movement should start paying attention to this, because its not going to go away, they're only going to get more intense.
