Re: POWER of PRAYER- No Matter Which Faith You Follow=GOD is With You
Come to Jesus
"Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." - Matthew 11:28-30
Are you tired? Are you burning the candle at both ends? We have a beautiful and humble offer from Jesus: "Come to me." The invitation is not merely to the weary and the exhausted but to all who have burdens such as worry, anxiety, guilt, and sorrow. Friends, I pray that you accept Jesus' invitation to lay down your worries and cares at His feet as He provides us shelter and rest.
When we come to Jesus, we exchange our heavy yoke for His light one. Even though Jesus does not promise the elimination of our problems, He promises that we will never face them alone as we trust God to help us overcome them. The promise Jesus offers brings healing and rest to our weary mind and soul. Christ's work in our lives enables us to face life's trials with grace and peace.
Friends, if we accept the call to journey to Jesus, we are entering into a relationship in which you will grow and develop in the character of Christ. I am talking here of an ongoing discipleship journey that leads you to trust and follow God, to turn your ways into the ways of God, which will set you free.
As you reflect on this verse and come to Jesus I share this song with you today.

Heavenly Father, thank you for extending an invitation to come to you. Lord, I pray for all who are carrying burdens and worn out from the battles in this world that they will come and find rest in You. In Jesus Name, Amen.

I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people -- for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. 1 Timothy 2:1-4
