Comedian and actor Russell Brand will stand trial next year on charges of rape and sexual assault after pleading not guilty

The 49 year old denied five charges during a hearing at Southwark Crown Court: one allegation of rape, one allegation of indecent assault, one of oral rape and two further counts of sexual assault, relating to four separate women.

Judge Tony Baumgartner has set a trial date for 3 June 2026.
