I watched the footage over and over again. Popping sounds, Secret Service agents rushing around, the crowd not knowing what is going on, Donald Trump grabbing his ear as if stung by an insect.

He goes down. Screams. Chaos. Then he stands up asking for his shoes and is bundled out as he fist-pumps.

That’s the moving image. It’s shambolic, panicky, unreal. Then we have the stills. Heroic defiance against the bluest sky. The Maga Martyr. The money shot. Too good to be true. Maybe that is why all over social media people are declaring it not to be true.


This didn’t really happen. It was all staged. The blood was too ketchupy. Its a LIE

A new prop appears to have gained steam at the Republican National Convention — ear bandages PATHETIC...


MAGA world is no stranger to Donald Trump-themed merchandise, whether it's Trump-themed shoes or a new campaign T-shirt featuring his new running mate's name.

Photos emerged Tuesday of Trump supporters wearing bandages over their ears in what appears to be in solidarity with Trump's own bandage he wore during his RNC appearance Monday night. Trump wore the bandage after an assassination attempt left the MAGA leader bloodied at a Saturday rally.


And the internet couldn't stop laughing, relentlessly mocking MAGA supporters on X.

"The official one will be numbered and cost $47," wrote @patriottakes.

"Nooooooo," wrote @HadleySheley, adding three cry-laughing emojis. "so now they’re all wearing maxi pads on their ear"

She added that she "can't" and finished: "These people are so weird and brain dead."

Trump 'Shooting' : New Video Shows Police Were Alerted Minutes Before Gunman Opened Fire






BBC Verify has analysed video which shows the police were warned of the threat to Donald Trump almost two minutes before Thomas Matthew Crooks opened fire on him from the roof of a building at a rally in Pennsylvania.

Mr Trump narrowly survived the assassination attempt, after the gunman accessed a roof around 130 meters from the podium where the former president and Republican candidate was speaking.

It’s the job of the US Secret Service to protect sitting and former presidents. Somehow the gunman managed to breach the security perimeter with a rifle and reach an elevated position close to Mr Trump.


Video of the attack shows that members of the crowd alerted police to the threat from the gunman minutes before he opened fire.





Firearms officers appear to have only reacted to the threat once Thomas Crooks began shooting, at which point he was shot dead by snipers on the roof of another building.
