DENIED: EXHAUSTED Judges Didn't Have Time to Stop Laughing- TRUMPs' Failed Hush Money Trial Delay Mocked

Judge González rejected the request in a one-line ruling, WITHIN ONE HOUR, late Monday afternoon with no explanation, clearing the way for the former presidents' first criminal trial to begin later this month.

MSRAW 9 APR 2024

Judge Lizbeth González of the state Appellate Division issued the ruling after attorneys for the former president argued the trial needed to be halted because "an impartial jury cannot be selected right now based on prejudicial pretrial publicity." - DENIED

Trumps attorneys had filed the eleventh-hour motion in an attempt to delay a trial that centers on charges that Trump falsified business records related to hush money payments. The long-shot legal maneuver came exactly one week before the first criminal trial of a former president is scheduled to start.

Commenters on social media, including legal experts, were triumphant that the former presidents gambit — the latest in a long series of attempts he has made to block or stall out his various legal problems — crashed and burned.

"The Appellate Division issued this order so quickly the judges didn’t even have time to stop laughing," wrote conservative attorney George Conway.

"DENIED: No change of venue for the election interference hush money trial. SAD!" wrote legal and political commentator Allison Gill, better known by the online moniker Mueller, She Wrote.

"Good," wrote author Patrick S. Tomlinson. "Single judge declines to advance Trump's venue change motion to a full appellate panel. Change of venue and stay motions denied.

Sounds like NY is done screwing around with this D-CKH--D."

The Manhattan trial, which was brought by District Attorney Alvin Bragg and was also the first of the four cases to return an indictment, centers on falsification of business records Trump allegedly made to conceal hush payments to adult film star Stormy Daniels, to keep details of an affair quiet ahead of the 2016 presidential election.

Bragg is prosecuting this falsification as a felony, arguing that it was effectively done in service of an illegal campaign finance scheme to benefit his election campaign off the books.

"The ruling that the screaming toddler must go to bed without supper is upheld"
