Movies TRUMPs' Croney Navarro Goes to PRISON-He Spent Yrs Daring FEDS to Catch Him

'Smaller Sacrifice': Peter Navarro Compares Himself to Soldiers as He Goes to Prison

The day he's set to surrender and serve a four-month sentence in federal prison, former TRUMP adviser Peter Navarro described himself as a MAGA martyr in an interview with Don Trump Jr.

MSNBC 20 MAR 2024

"You're going to prison ... and yet you're talking about MAGA principles for the next term," Trump Jr. said during an episode of his Rumble show "Triggered" Monday. "Just so people understand the kind of warrior you actually are."

And Navarro, who served in Trumps cabinet as a trade adviser, replied that he's fighting just like other American patriots who give everything for love of country.

"Men and women of America throughout our history have shed blood, lost their lives for the defense of this country, defense of what we stand for, defense of our values, defense of our Constitution," he said.

"And for me it's a much smaller sacrifice to be willing to go to prison, as I now have been ordered to do, to defend what is really one of the most important principles of the Constitution, which is the constitutional separation of powers."

Navarro was convicted of contempt of Congress for failing to appear before the congressional committee probing the Jan. 6 siege of the U.S. Capitol. A last-ditch effort to get the Supreme Court to overturn his conviction failed
