Her husband of five years, Bradley Thomas, is currently in the midst of promoting his Oscar-nominated film Killers of the Flower Moon. The couple have twin daughters named Poppy and Grace, with Thomas also a stepmother to Thomas' older children Lucy and Charlie.

The manner of death has been listed as suicide by the LA County Coroner's Office, citing multiple traumatic injuries. The LAPD told DailyMail.com police responded to the scene about a deceased woman found in the pool area.

Thomas, daughter of Sir Henry Lawrence, 7th Baronet of Lucknow and his ex-wife Penelope, enjoyed a privileged childhood which saw her attend the private King Edward's School and Prior Park College in Bath.

She went on to attend Oxford University, graduating with a degree in biological sciences. A varied career followed, which included Thomas addressing the UN and The World Bank, as well as being appointed by former British prime minister, David Cameron, to serve as a tech advisor.

Thomas also loved to party, and moonlighted as a DJ, with photos uploaded to an old Facebook profile showing her enjoying nights out at glitzy London events.

She moved to California and continued her work as a consultant and producer, appointed a member of The UCLA Centre of Storytellers & Scholars Advisory Board.

A DJ whose gigs including Ibiza Rocks, The Grand Prix, and the official after-party for the Grammy Awards, she was a well-known face on the trans Atlantic social scene, with friends including musician James Blake and his presenter girlfriend Jameela Jamil. Thomas was also photographed with Amy Winehouse at a 2010 charity event in Camden, London, where the tragic singer lived.

Jamil, a fellow Briton living in California, was pictured with Blake at the Thomases October 2018 wedding in Rustic Canyon, Santa Monica.

On Monday, Jamil wrote on Instagram: 'I lost a friend very suddenly this week. Don't wait til later. Don't presume you can just grow old together. Don't presume the world is fair or makes sense. Dont take anyone or anything you love for granted for a minute.

'My heart is completely and utterly broken and I don't think I will ever recover.'

She said on the post she was 'supposed to see her a few weeks ago but I was busy with stupid f****** work.'

She added: 'I missed the chance to tell her I loved her. And hold her one last time.'
