Arnie, who has dual Austrian and US citizenship, is said to have been on his way to attend a climate charity auction being held tomorrow in Kitzbühel, Austria.
The ex-California Governor, who is a passionate climate campaigner, reportedly brought a valuable timepiece made by Swiss luxury brand Audemars Piguet to auction off.
Spokesman for the Munich Main Customs Office, Thomas Meister, told BILD: 'We have initiated criminal proceedings under tax law. The watch should have been registered because it is an import.'
