The investment – which is Microsofts’ largest in the companys’ 40-year history in Australia – will also see it expand cloud computing and AI infrastructure.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has secured a major partnership with Microsoft to bolster Australias’ cyber-security capabilities.
Mr Albanese was joined by Microsoft chiefs in Washington as the tech giant announced a $5 billion investment over the next two years.
The announcement has been welcomed by the Prime Minister.
“This will improve joint capability to identify, prevent and respond to cyber threats,” Mr Albanese said during a media conference on Tuesday.
