Israel Hunts 'Hamas Bin Laden' - Netanyahu Vows to Exterminate Bloody Monsters as Gaza Invasion Looms With Civilians Still Fleeing

The Israeli prime minister issued a chilling pledge with around 10,000 troops poised to thrust into the besieged territory with a key target being Yahya Sinwar, 60, the current head of Hamas in the Gaza Strip

Hezbollah Threatens to Drag War Weary Lebanon Into Israel-Hamas War

Palestinians have come forward, whilst under siege from Israel, to donate blood.

The Gaza Minister of Health called for "urgent blood donations" amid the ongoing Israeli airstrikes as casaulties and injured rack up and their medical supplies run low.

Ordinary Gazans caught up in Israel's war against Hamas were pictured at the Aqsa Hospital in Deir Al-Balah, Gaza, donating blood.

Benjamin Netanyahu has said Israel's armed forces "are ready to act at any moment, to exterminate the bloody monsters that rose up against us" as a ground invasion of Gaza draws ever closer.

The Israeli prime minister spoke ahead of a cabinet meeting to discuss the country's latest moves in the wake of the October 7 attacks by Hamas militants that killed 1,300 Israelis, mainly civilians. He vowed: "Hamas thought we would break up - we will break up Hamas".

As many as 10,000 Israeli troops including those in armoured units are poised on the borders awaiting the order to advance. One of their main objectives is to hunt down and neutralise a Hamas commander branded Palestine's answer to Osama bin Laden, Yahya Sinwar, 60, current head of Hamas in the Gaza Strip and said by Israel to have directed the October 7 attack.

IDF spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Richard Hecht said the military is putting a huge amount of resources into removing Sinwar as the head of the organisation, with some local outlets saying as many as 10,000 troops will be deployed. Lt. Col. Hecht explained: “That man is in our sights. He’s a dead man walking, and we will get to that man.” The army chief continued, saying that Sinwar was the "mastermind behind this, like bin Laden was."

Civilians are still trying to flee Gaza while the deadline to evacuate the besieged territory set by Israel has passed, with hundreds of thousands of the region's 2.3 million civilians streaming out of northern cities and towns.

Last night, Israel's chief military spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari accused Hamas of using civilians as human shields as he confirmed that Israel will "attack Gaza City very broadly soon". UK Foreign Secretary James Cleverly said today that around 10 British people dead or missing was not an “unreasonable estimate”.

Hundreds of thousands of civilians have been heading south during the evacuation window in which Israel vowed they would have safe passage. Despite the assurances, a convoy carrying women and children was bombarded with horrific footage showing innocent bodies strewn around the city streets. It has yet to be establish who was responsible for the attack.

Overnight, sustained blistering airstrikes flattened entire neighbourhoods in Gaza, with footage emerging this morning of rescuers desperately sifting through the rubble to find their loved ones.

Biden says most Palestinians 'nothing to do' with Hamas attacks as Israel invasion looms

US President Joe Biden has released a statement in support of Palestinians who face being caught up in brutal attacks by Israel's army following Hamas' terrorist attack last week.

In a post on social media, Mr Biden claimed that most Palestinians have 'nothing to do' with Hamas, yet they are facing what he said was the consequence of its terrorist attacks. The post read: "We must not lose sight of the fact that the overwhelming majority of Palestinians had nothing to do with Hamas’s appalling attacks, and are suffering as a result of them."

It comes as the death toll of the devastating war that has menaced for nine days now is rising dramatically. On Sunday, hundreds of thousands of Gaza residents sought to heed Israel’s order to evacuate roughly the northern half of the territory, while others huddled at hospitals in the north.

Gaza’s 2.3 million civilians are facing a deepening struggle for food, water and safety, and are braced for a looming invasion.

Israeli forces, supported by a growing deployment of US warships in the region, positioned themselves along Gaza’s border and drilled for what Israel said would be a campaign by air, land and sea to dismantle the militant group.
